Maya went to bed saying,” At last it is Sunday tomorrow.”

Aishwerya spoke up,” As if you wake up early on other days. Here have this milk and sleep.”

Maya drank and gave a disgusted look at her mom saying,” Yuck, What is this?”

“Just drink it. It is not some poison to keep your face like that. Drink.”

“Mom but it is like some medicine.”

“Of course it is medicine. I have added turmeric to it. That is it” saying it she raised her voice ,” DRINK MAYA” so Maya closed her eyes and finished it up in one gulp and then coughed. She asked for water but her mom denied it. So without a choice she went to sleep.

Next morning Varun woke up early and went to basketball court. He decided to play some games so that he can distract his minds from Maya. They had a stadium near their house where they have set up basketball court, volleyball court, jogging tracks and walking area. They had children’s play area and near that many ladies where playing shuttle-cork.

He played basketball for some time and then came and sat in the gallery to observe others while drinking water and refreshing himself. He saw a girl in black tracks and blue t-shirt who had rolled up her sleeves, hair tied up to bun and playing volley ball. He was able to see that she seemed familiar so he moved his seat so that he can get a clear view of her. He was still unable to notice her as she had changed her spot. So Varun got down and walked near to the pole where the referee was standing so that he can see her clearly. While walking he guessed that she must Maya but he had a small doubt as she had always had her hair in pony tail. He reached the pole with water bottle still in hands and saw the girl. As expected by him it was her, Maya. He saw the wounds in her hands which were still fresh and hasn’t healed.
