"When you're ready to go to the bank, I'll accompany you," she said.
He would go to the bank Monday morning and follow her recommendations.
She invited him back to her room and once again, they made red-hot love until two in the morning.
It was three o'clock Sunday morning when Jamo got home. Malana had worn him out. As his head hit the pillow, he instantly fell asleep. When his eyes opened, he got out of bed, took a shower and got dressed. It was now 6:00 p.m.
He wondered what his parents were planning for him. It was silent throughout the house. When he went downstairs and walked into the living room, everyone shouted "Surprise!" and started to sing Happy Birthday.
Jamo was delighted. Employees, customers, and business associates were there for the celebration; they congratulated him on reaching his twenty-sixth birthday and wished him many more years of good health and prosperity.
He was in high spirits but sad at the same time, because Malana was not there. It did not matter, because he was going to be spending the rest of his life with her.
It was near midnight, and the guests were starting to leave. Jamo expressed his gratitude to everyone for coming and thanked his parents for putting together such a lovely birthday party.
"What are you going to do with your money?" his parents asked.
"Invest it wisely," he replied.
They smiled, nodded with approval and said, "Your grandparents would be very proud of you if they were here. You were their only grandchild, and they wanted to make certain that you were provided with all the means necessary to live a good and productive life."
Jamo's grandparents were born in St. Kitts and owned several successful businesses. When they came to America, their goal was to open a real estate agency, and they did.
Their son, Jamo's father, who grew up in the sixties, obtain his Degree in Business Administration. While in college, he met his wife, who came from a very prominent family in the Baltimore area. The couple ended up working in the real estate business.
After the death of Jamo's grandparents, his parents inherited the real estate company but sold it, and with the proceeds from the sale, they started a car dealership that grew into a very successful enterprise.
"In two years, we will retire, return to St. Kitts and expect you to take over the business," said Jamo's parents.
He sat there, unenthusiastically, grinning like a Cheshire cat.
It was near 1:00 a.m. His parents turned in for the night, and he went to his room and called Malana. They chatted for about two hours. He would meet her at the hotel in several hours and go straight to the bank.
