Follow Your Heart - Page 25/57

"I am ready for it. I trust Michael. I hope the people you know don't give you too hard of a time about me though. I mean, you have been linked with some of the most beautiful women, and now you are with me. Won't people say you are lowering your standards a bit?" Lisa said. It was something that had been worrying her. She wasn't ugly, but she knew she couldn't compete with some of the models and actresses he had dated before.

"Actually, I happen to think you are gorgeous, you also are intelligent and caring, so I don't want you to put yourself down anymore. They can't compete with you." Michael reached over to her and took her lips in a passionate kiss that made Lisa's heart beat in double time. "I am worried that you are going to see the error of your ways and dump me. I am just a foster kid that got lucky. Are you sure I am what you want?"

"Yes, I am very sure. You have been able to make me feel so special the last few days. I am so glad my car broke down. I think it is the best thing to ever happen to me." Lisa kissed him again.

"Hey, we are in the car, too. If clothes start flying off, I will hose you two down." Jason told them.

"Sorry, man, I wasn't thinking straight." Michael said as he moved away. He was still holding her though.

That was one of the things Lisa was coming to love about being with him. He made her feel like she was the only person in the room, and she was the only person that mattered. Lisa could list a whole page of things she was coming to love about him, but it all came down to one thing, she was falling in love with him. She couldn't tell him though. Surely he didn't feel the same way as she did. They had known each other less than a week. She would just keep it to herself and try not to wear her heart on her sleeve.

They made it back to LA around dinner time. Lisa called her parents and told them that Michael was going to be with her, as well as Jason and Greta. They pulled the limo into the driveway of the house Lisa had called home all her life. Most would say it was a mansion, with eleven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, and a yard that took an entire five acres, but to her it was just home. She knew how lucky she was to have all this, and she didn't just take it for granted, but the house was her home where she had grown up, had birthday parties, sleepovers, and holiday family get togethers. She was surprised to see Greta and Jason's faces as they made their way up the front door.
