Vance paced back and forth on the porch.

"Why do women have to be so frighten when love come their way? I will give her a breather, but I won't give up on her. She has all the qualities I'm looking for in a woman. I'm so used to getting what I want, but this little lady is to be like one of my horses that are hard to break. I can wait.

Vedella driver arrived and Vance got in the limousine.

"It's all happening too fast. I've never been afraid of a man in all of my life. Vance is like no other man I've known. I don't know how to handle him. My heart is saying go for it and my brain is saying whoa. I don't know what to do. I won't think about it tonight." Vedella was thinking out loud.

Betty and Loretta, Vedella's maids turned around when they heard her entering the kitchen. Vedella slice a piece of the pie and pulled out a chair at the table.

"Someone has the blues." Betty remarked.

"Yes, the blues that only a man can cause." Loretta stated.
