Custody Battle - Page 20/86

"Yes, I'm Mandisa Dladla." Mandisa answered certain Angela had been spot on when she had asked if the man was in trouble with the law. How else would he know who she was unless he was looking for a lawyer? "And you are?" She asked just to be polite. She wasn't looking for any new clients, not with the possibility of a custody battle on her hands.

The stranger didn't answer her but turned to Angela.

"I need to have a word with her in private. I believe you two were done here."

Angela looked confused and perhaps for the first time in her life she doubted her beauty. Mandisa smiled. If that wasn't poetic justice then she didn't know what was.

"Yes we are done here." Mandisa said. "Mrs. Motaung, I'll be in touch." Mandisa said emphasizing on the Mrs.

Angela opened her mouth to comment but the stranger had already dismissed her. He sat down on her previous chair and waited for Mandisa to also sit down. Deciding that she had lost the battle, Angela grabbed her bag and left. Mandisa remained on her feet until Angela was out of the restaurant then she turned to the man sitting calmly by her table.

"What can I do for you Mr.…?" Mandisa asked sitting down and facing him. She was glad when her heart didn't accelerate now that he was so close, she could feel his body heat and his scent was so strong it almost paralyzed her.

The man didn't offer her his name but gave her a mesmerizing smile that played havoc with her stomach. It felt like butterflies were having a party in there.

"You are younger than I expected." He said leaning back casually on the chair as if he owned it. Mandisa just stared at him. She didn't know who she was talking to and since he wasn't in a rush to tell her, she just kept her mouth shut and allowed her eyes to feast on him. He had broad shoulders, a heavy chest that suggested he worked out. His arms were long and connected to strong beautiful hands she had ever seen. Immediately a picture of those hands sliding down her body popped into her head.

"When Sindi threatened me with you, I imagined this Godzilla of a woman pushing fifty." He said still smiling; his voice was low and husky. He seemed to have dropped the caressing note. And that should have made her suspicious but her mind was still on the fact that he was the most handsome man she had ever seen and damn if she wasn't attracted. "I can't say I'm disappointed." He went on. "You being this young makes things easier. How old are you by the way?"
