Custody Battle - Page 61/86

The question was why had he left and why hadn't he said goodbye?

She took the clothes to the bedroom and searched for her phone. She had no missed calls or messages. Mandisa sighed and checked the time. It was seven fifteen and she was due at the office at eight. However her first meeting was at ten so she didn't really have to rush. She got back into bed. She didn't understand why he had left and why not say goodbye. Had she done something wrong? Was she so bad in love making that he had escaped the first chance he got? No answer came to her. He had seemed to enjoy their mating as much as she did. And how bad could she have been? It wasn't science. Sex was the most natural thing that even animals had it under control. No he didn't leave because she had been bad. She was no expert in the department but Tebogo had enjoyed their time together. The only time he had been doubtful was when he found out that she was a virgin. Is that why he had left, her lack of experience? Mandisa sat up as the thought entered her head. It was rare to find a twenty eight year old virgin. And if one happened to find one then it meant the girl was saving herself for marriage or didn't believe in love and had resigned herself to a life of nunnery.

Mandisa had not wasted much time on her reason for not having sex. She had always been busy. First with survival, then with her career and then with taking care of her sisters. Love had never featured in her life. She bit down on her lip.

Tebogo must have known that she wasn't a nun. She had given herself to him with no second thoughts. If her plans were to die a nun then she would have had second thoughts and she would have mentioned them to him. Which meant he thought she was saving herself for marriage and now that she had given herself to him, she would want him to marry her? Isn't that what had happened with Tumi and Sindi? She had given herself to him after he sworn to be in love with her and had dragged her to the home affairs for a quick marriage to prove to her just how much he loved her. But Mandisa didn't want marriage. Her sisters needed her and she couldn't abandon them for just a man. No matter how alive and cherished he made her feel.

She got out of bed and went to the kitchen for a cup of coffee. Tebogo couldn't possibly think she meant to trap him in marriage, could he?
