Custody Battle - Page 77/86

“Tebogo is not here.’ Rose said facing her. “What is it that you want Miss Dladla?” Rose’s voice was filled with animosity but it didn’t match Mandisa’s hatred.

“Can you get him, here? What about your lawyer, do you know where he is? I think it will be best if they are both here so I won’t have to deal with any of you ever again.

“And I don’t want to deal with you ever again so say your piece and get out. I have things to do…”

“Fine.” Mandisa said. She found a table, threw her briefcase on it and took out a file.

“Oh don’t tell me you wrote a speech.” Rose said irritable. “What; did your sisters also put in their two cents worth?

Mandisa looked at her wishing she had saved her slap for Rose. The woman was cruel beyond the word. And to think Tebogo called her a witch! That bastard wouldn’t know a witch even if she flew into his bedroom on a broom at midnight and threatened to eat his heart. Not that he had a heart!

“Let’s start by saying I hope you and your entire family burn in hell. If there is any justice in this world then you and your sons will burnt in hell.” Mandisa slapped the file on Rose’s chest.

“What is this?’ Rose asked looking at the document.

“You win Rose Motsepe. You can have Joy.”

Rose’s eyes swam through the documents.

“Is this some kind of a joke?” She looked up at Mandisa confused.

“If it is then it is God and the Devil’s joke and their punch line is too twisted for me to appreciate.” Mandisa said bitterly.

“I don’t get it, haven’t you spoken to Tebogo?” Rose asked her eyes looking past Mandisa to the table where she had placed her briefcase.

“I never want to speak or see your son for as long as I live. Will you sign that, so I can get the hell out of here?”

Rose looked at the document again.

“This says Tumi will have joint custody of Joy, just so long as he signs the divorce papers.” Rose’s voice was filled with wonder. Mandisa controlled her temper.
