Man Up - Page 38/268

"Okay you caught me." He admitted as he walked her back to the chairs and they both sat down again holding hands. He smiled as he released her hand and then rested it on her thigh while gently squeezing it reassuringly. She then took her small hands and laid them on top of his much larger and masculine hand. Taking his hand within hers she raised it up towards her lips and kissed it.

"No matter what, we're okay. We've got each other and the kids." She said smiling sweetly at him. Abruptly the doctor entered. Her head was down as she was reading over their chart. She wore the standard white lab jacket over a chic and smart-looking navy blue skirt suit and her stethoscope loosely hung around her neck.

"Retrograde ejaculation…" Dr. Starks said as she closed the door behind her. She then took a seat on the stool inside the small private examination room, rolling it closer towards them in.

"What?" Jacob asked with a dropped jaw. "Does that mean the problem is with me?" He questioned worriedly.

"Don't be too alarm Mr. Ellis. There is a chance that we can treat this with medication." She continued giving them hope as she browsed through his chart.

"You don't have Diabetes, hypertension and you haven't had bladder surgery. However before we start you on any medication we're going to need a sample of your semen."

"What? Why?" Jacob blurted out; a little embarrassed to be having this conversation with a female doctor.

"Generally when we have a patient such as you who exhibits symptoms of retrograde ejaculation, often times the quality of sperm is too poor to be suitable for impregnation."

"What?! But I've already fathered a child." Jacob unwittingly blurted out again without thinking.

"Honey calm down… It's okay… Let's not jump to conclusions. Let's follow Dr. Starks' advice and then go from there." Louise said in a cool level-headed manner. Jacob couldn't help but calming down at the tone of his wife's gentle voice. He took a deep breath and then released a heavy sigh.

"Alright doctor, we'll do it your way." He conceded.

"Great, I'll have my nurse set up an appointment."
