They heard the buzzer of the door opening just then, and saw their guys walk through the door; they hadn't even realized that the work day was over, before they closed up the shop, the two couples made plans for a simple cook out at the Romel's home on Sunday. The two women thought that was a fine idea, as the men usually did the cooking on the huge state of the art built in grill, on the terrace.
In the car on the way home, Candee and Starke decided to take a ride up to the cabin early Saturday morning, visit their animal family and spend most of the day there, Marie was all for the idea, and Jamie in his way seemed happy too.
That evening Starke and Candee got things together, in order to get a very early start in the morning to head up to the cabin. The children slept the whole way even Taffy dozed, and it was a very quiet ride. When they arrived they woke Marie but let Jamie sle ep in his combination car seat, carrier.
Starke got his family into the cabin, and then went back for their supplies, he noticed the deer were already emerging for the woods into the clearing; they seemed to sense their arrival. They had a very pleasant day at the cabin, and headed home that evening, Candee started as soon as she had the time to make some potato salad for the following day when Julie, Cam and Katie would be there for a cookout, she called Anne to invite her but she declined saying, she was going to church in the morning and in the afternoon to visit a friend who is in the hospital. That was very typical for Anne, she was a very caring person, devoted to her family and her many friends.
That afternoon the Baylor's arrived or at least three of them, since the boys were still off at camp for another week. They had news to share with their friends because the boys called just last night, and it sounded like they were having a wonderful time.
Then it was time for the men to fire up the grill, and the women, including the girls decided to take a walk through Candee's beautiful gardens, including the butterfly garden. It was late summer now, and the summer flowers were starting to wane, before long the fall flowers would be blooming, and then of course winter would set in and the garden would be bleak until spring.
"Mommy," asked Marie, "where do the butterflies go in the winter?" "I don't really know sweetheart", replied Candee, "I know piped up Katie," "oh and where is that? Ask Julie, "to Disney World where it's warm of course" the two women laughed but then admitted she may very well be right about that.
