As they entered she saw that it was done in beautiful antiques, it had a huge foyer, with a large round antique table right in the middle, with a giant urn with an exquisite t1ower arrangement in it, hanging over the table was a big chandelier, on one side was a long antique bench, and on the other a large grandfather clock. All of this was sitting on highly polished oak hardwood flooring; it was a very impressive entrance.

Starke walked up to a beautiful large antique desk, where a woman who looked like she could be his grandmother sat, and he said, "hello Gerta, how are you she said, Starke welcome, welcome, and he said, this is Candee, and Gerta said welcome to you too, my dear, I will have someone take your bags to your suite, if you'd like lunch, you're in time, for it is being served in the small dining room, Candee had noticed on the grandf ather clock it was eleven forty-five.

That sounds wonderful, and he placed his hand at the small of her back as he directed her towards the door of the small dining room, which she saw immediately was not all that small, and equally as beautiful as what she had seen so far.

They were taken to a table at a window, looking out over a lush green lawn that seemed to go on forever, and when they were seated they saw that there were several people out there on the lawn playing a game of croquet.

A waitress came to their table almost immediately, and asks what they would like to drink, Candee said, she'd like an ice tea and Starke said, he'd have the same. She said, "Your menu is right there, pointing to a scroll of paper laying at each place setting."

They each picked up their menu and Candee decided at a glance that she'd enjoy the grilled lemon chicken salad, and Starke said, he thought he'd have the chef salad, the waitress, Nancy according to her name tag, said, looking at Candee, dressing? Candee replied, honey mustard? Nancy nodded, then she looked at Starke, he said thousand island? She nodded again and walked off

Candee then said, it seemed to me you and Gerta are on very familiar terms? He chuckled at the way she put that, and said, my mother and Gerta are old and dear friends, she is also a member of mom's garden club, when she can make a meeting that is, and this place keeps her pretty busy. Candee said, I can believe that, it is really a beautiful old mansion isn’t it? He said, "Yes, it is, you have a lot more to see, and I'll enjoy showing it all to you later."
