Candee and Starke enjoyed the afternoon walking around on the grounds of the inn, stopping every now and then, sitting and watching one event after another, they even joined in a game of croquet after being persuaded by other couples that noticed them watching on the sidelines, "that was fun" Candee said, as they were walking back to the inn arms around each other's waist they were all so nice. Starke said, ""yes, they were, we may see them at dinner later."

They went up onto the big porch on the rear of the inn and took seat on a white wicker bench and a waiter appeared and asks them if they'd like a beverage, Starke ordered a nice cold beer and Candee ordered a soft drink in a tall glass with lots of ice, it had become quite warm that afternoon and a cold drink would hit the spot she explained, and Starke laughed and said, that's what I thought.

Their drinks came and they drank in silence for a few minutes, then after they had set their glasses down on the nearby table, Starke took her hand, he lifted it to his lips, then he patted it and held it on his knee, he ask then, "Candee I'm wondering what your feelings are about wealth?" She looked up at him, clearly puzzled, she said, "'I don't understand what you are asking, I'm not wealthy and I probably will never be, and frankly I've never given it much thought"

He said, "I guess what I'm asking is would it sway your feelings about someone," or does it make you feel differently towards people who are quite wealthy? She then surprised him by saying not if they aren't arrogant and mean and 1 would have a great deal of respect for a person if they did kind or generous things for others with their money at times, and I would be happy for her or him knowing they deserved to be wealthy.

He looked at his watch then and said, I guess we'd better head back to our room, maybe we can rest before we need to get ready for dinner, she said, "okay" and they strolled leisurely, back the way they had come from through their French doors, he had slipped the key card into his pocket because these doors also locked upon leaving.

When they went in they discovered that one of the help had been in and left a fruit basket, some assorted cheeses, crackers and wine chilling for them, in the sitting area of the suite on a table in front of the beautiful couch, which was facing the fireplace, and television which was on one side of the fireplace in the cabinetry which flanked both sides. It was warm for a fire so he turned on the TV instead, and put the all news channel on, he ask Candee if she'd like some wine now, and she said, ""yes" as she sat down on the couch, he opened the wine and poured them each a glass, then he sat beside her, she spread some cheese on a few crackers for them and they relaxed and watched the news. He was sitting sideways legs stretched out, she was beside him turned slightly and leaning on him and had kicked off her shoes and had her feet up, by the time the news was over and weather report to come on, they had both nodded off.
