They got back to the station, and Cameron and Starke questioned the young man, and discovered that his crime wave all started with a credit card that he had found and decided to try to use and was successful, then he discovered later that people who lost or had credit cards stolen, cancelled them and got new ones and were not made to pay the charges, he figured what harm was in this new found hobby, this was his warped thinking, they could see by the way he was living he had nothing before all this began, then when he got a computer and started gathering information on people on line locating people in his city or nearby, he would then manage to sneak into their homes to steal credit cards or he hacked into their PC's and got the information he needed, it turned out he was a genius on the PC.
They ask him, if he wanted to call a lawyer and he said, "no," so they told him one would be appointed for him by the court, he apologized over and over for what he had done, he started crying, they were astounded to find out that he was only fifteen years old, and they told him this would all be sorted out, but that it would take quite a long time, and he would have a court hearing, and in the mean time he would be reprimanded to juvenile hall, he ask about his dog, and they told him he would be cared for at animal control until this was all sorted out.
This kid was on his own for the most part he had a father but he was a drunk and never home, when he was home he was usually passed out or hitting the kid around. Having boys of his own Cameron couldn't help feeling sorry for the kid, so he reassured Danny, that he wouldn't forget about him, and he'd see him through this mess, and see if he can help him to get his life on a different path. Through the questioning, Starke found out that this was the kid that slashed Candee's tires over anger of her not using credit cards, he thought she was wealthy and a snob.
The boy was then taken down to booking and a call placed to the juvenile hall, and he would be taken there, but this boy needed to go through the full process of booking, he needed to know what that was all about, this is what, Cam was saying to Starke after an officer took the kid away. Then they each went back to their desk because they also had a lot of paper work to get under way, this went along with every bust they made no matter what the circumstances everything had to be documented, this was the tedious part of police business, but was mandatory.
