Starke finally called Candee about seven pm that evening, and they talked a bit about her day, and she was bubbling to tell him that she had an appointment for Saturday to go pick out her wedding dress, and he asked where she was going and she told him, "Bonnie's Bridal Shop" which he made a mental note of.
Then she ask about his first day back to work, and he told her very carefully about the bust they had made that day, and she didn't seem to get rattled about it, he felt compassion from her about the boy. He told her how he was a gangly youth, tall and looked more than his actual age, had dirty blond hair down to his shoulders, and a very attractive face, depending on how he dressed he could look male or female, that was how he was able to use the different credit cards to make purchases in stores ,which he'd take home himself, he drove an old pick-up truck without a license of course and for the on line purchases, he set up a post office box under a fictitious name and would pick the items up, Starke said, "he's very clever and a real computer geek" he even sold some of the items on e-bay for the cash, he had quite a business going on, the little con, and he laughed, then she laughed too ..
We're glad we caught up with the boy, he's in serious trouble, but it could have gotten worse if he had started getting into peoples bank accounts, and stealing funds from banks, then we would have had to bring the feds in on this and he would have been tried as an adult, and no doubt do some hard time, prison would ruin this boy forever, as it is now, Cam feels he can be rehabilitated, we'll see? I'll tell you one thing, with this kids knowledge of the PC and his way around the Internet we sure could use him on our side, I'm sure that's what Cam was thinking too, Candee said, "no doubt,"
Cameron got home later that evening, after calling Julie to tell her he was still tied up with paper work, it wasn't all that unusual for him and she was used to it after being married to a cop for fifteen years now, so she simply fed the kids and kept dinner warm for the two of them she always liked to wait and have dinner with him, she couldn't stand to see him eat alone, even if she was sitting right there.
