"Yeah." Agreed Ben.
"So what do we do now? Go to the police?" Asked David.
"No we don't have enough evidence to go to the police. I think what we do now is confront Jack Hogan. I think he'll crack under pressure. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise Abdulah is not here, I've got a feeling 'His Excellency' would be a little harder to get to. I don't think Jack is a bad person, but the other one..." Ben shuddered as he stared at the photograph once again. "... this guy is evil."
The intercom on Abdulah's desk buzzed.
"Yes, Mary." answered Jack who was still using the office.
"Mr. Peterson is here again. ..."
Damn, thought Jack."... and he has a ... Mr. Wilson with him."
Oh, no. The boyfriend. Jack's mind raced. He couldn't refuse to see them-it would seem suspicious. He pushed the button and told Mary to send them in as he tried to compose himself.
Jack smiled in greeting the two men. "I'm sorry to say, Mr. Peterson, that I have had no news of His Excellency's return."
"That is too bad, but perhaps you can help us after all." Ben turned to David. "This is David Wilson, Mrs. Mathews's fiance."
Jack nodded and extended his right arm. "Jack Hogan. I'm sorry for your loss Mr. Wilson."
David glared at Jack and did not accept his hand. He took a step forward, and Jack backed away instinctively.
Ben grabbed David's arm and whispered, "Let's take it easy, David." Then to Jack, he said, "Why don't we sit down and discuss this matter?"
"Discuss what?" asked Jack as he retreated behind the desk.
"The disappearance of Sara Mathews, of course." answered Ben.
"I already told you I don't know anything about it."
"Think about it again, Hogan." said David, trying to remain calm. This guy had taken his beautiful Sara, and he wanted to beat him to a pulp.
"I already told Mr. Peterson that I wasn't even working here then."
"But you were hired two days after she disappeared. Where were you that weekend?" asked Ben.
"I don't remember. Hey, what's this all about anyway? You think I had something to do with this chick's disappearance?" Jack played indignant. "Maybe she just ran off with someone else, did you ever think of that?"
"You son-of-a ..." David jumped out of his chair, and leapt at Jack, but Ben restrained him before he did any damage.
