"Whew, I thought you were going to ask me something really personal. No, I didn't. I take it the heavy smoke in the club got you thinking about it. I notice you haven't smoked on our trip, did you ever smoke cigarettes?"
"I started in High School, but didn't like it very much. I didn't like all the hacking and coughing. My parents both smoked, so I always had a little of that odor on me anyway even after I quit, you know second hand smoke smell"
"I'm glad you quit. I don't usually stay around people who smoke. Yeah, I know full well about second hand smoke smell. Michael doesn't smoke, but he always smells as if he does. He tells me it's the business people he's always around. I have the hardest time keeping his clothes smelling fresh." As they got to the front doors of the hotel, they stopped and looked up at the building before going in. A moment passed before Jennifer spoke. "John thanks for being with me tonight. It's strange but something in me felt very lonely tonight and I didn't want to be alone. I can't think of anyone I would rather have spent this evening with. Thank you."
John looked into her eyes. He reached over and took her hands in his again. "I can't think of anyone I would have rather been with tonight either. That's the most fun I've had in quite a while. It's very late I guess we should go up to our rooms now."
"John, would you care to join me for breakfast in the hotel restaurant tomorrow morning? Let's say we meet about seven A.M., is that okay?"
"That would be great. John lets go of Jennifer's hand and started to turn to go in.
Jennifer stopped him and pulled him back to give him a passionate kiss. Their lips met and she wrapped her arms around him, he then wrapped his arms around her softly but firmly, they both stood there for what seemed like a small eternity. Both of them lost to the real world in their kiss. Their souls became one as their tongues explored each other's mouth. A car horn beeped somewhere down the block and both of them came back to reality. They let go of each other, neither one quite knowing what to say next, both of them looked a little embarrassed, both of them breathing fast and heavy. "Goodnight John."
He looked at her as she turned to go in the front doors. "Sweet dreams Jennifer." He said to her as she walked into the hotel doors. He followed her into the hotel lobby, she turned to the right to head to her elevator bank, he to the left for his across the lobby. They both pushed the elevator call buttons at the same time. Both elevator doors opened up simultaneously. They entered the cars then turn seeing each other across the lobby from one another. Jennifer raised her hand to wave goodbye then John did likewise as both of the elevator doors closed.
