John looked at the face of his watch, squinting he barely made out the hands on the watch. "It's now six o' five. We should be arriving at six thirty if the train is still on time."

Jennifer wiggled her back a little closer into John's chest. Thanks for taking care of me last night. I'm sorry for that it probably wasn't much fun for you though."

"I'm glad you came over, that's what friends are for."

"I feel so secure and safe lying here next to you. It's been a long time since I felt like that. Michael and I sleep on opposite sides of the bed, he doesn't like to snuggle, he never has. I really miss that. I'm so glad you came to Italy, you've become a great friend, and sadly enough I can't remember the last time I really had one of those in my life. I promise to try and enjoy this weekend, if I start to fall apart, catch me and put me back on my feet. Hey, this is the chance of a lifetime Venice is waiting for us out there."

"Jennifer, if your heart feels heavy and you feel the need to cry, don't worry about me, after all this is a bad situation for you, I fully understand. And yes, Venice is waiting for us out there, so let's make this an incredible adventure."

They both got up and washed their faces off in the sink in their compartment. By the time the train arrived at the Santa Lucia train station, they were both ready to go. They sat in their compartment watching as the train slowed down and finally came to a complete stop. A few minutes later, the Porter came by and looked in their room to inform them that they would be able to disembark in a few more minutes.

The train station was bustling with people arriving and departing. Most looking like tourists, the ones heading toward water transportation were wide eyed. Quite a few carried a map in one hand and luggage in the other, the ones moving toward the train looked tired and dragging their luggage behind them. John and Jennifer went over to see about getting a water taxi to their hotel. The lady behind the taxi stand told them that their hotel had their own water taxi and pointed them in the right direction to find it. As they walked over to their hotels water taxi John looked over to Jennifer. "I'm impressed already, our hotel has its own taxi this is a good sign."

"Yeah, usually when Michael makes reservations, it's not for a cheap cut rate place. He never stays in less than a four star hotel. I'm sure this will be on a level equal to or better than our hotel in Rome." They boarded the boat and after two more couples got on they cast off to head for their hotel.
