He followed his onboard GPS system until he drove into a beautiful gated community, past a handful of large houses, no on second thought these were mansions. His stomach felt tighter as he realized that Michael lived in an ultra-expensive part of town. His GPS voice told him that his destination was 10 yards on the right. He pulled into the entrance, punched in the access code that Michael had given him for the gate. After he waited for the large iron security gate to slowly open he drove down the long driveway that led to the house and pulled up in front of a very large two-story house.
John got out of his car and walked up the walkway to the front door. He was in shock at the size and grandeur of this place. Nervously he rang the bell. The door opened and a beautiful woman who looked to be in her mid-thirties stood there. She had blonde hair and the most incredible bright and sparkling steel blue eyes he had ever seen. She wore a beautiful evening dress with a gingham cooking apron over it. Her looks nearly took his breath away, she was incredible. "You must be John. Michael has spoken so much about you in the past few days, please come in. Michael was running late from the office as usual so he is finishing up dressing and will be down in a few minutes. You can wait for him in the living room. Would you care for a drink while you wait?"
John was almost speechless at her beauty. "Yes, please, a scotch on the rocks would be great."
Jennifer led John into a spacious living room off to one side of the main entrance hall. The fireplace at the end of the room was burning beautifully. She had John sit down on the couch as she went over to a wall and pressed a button that slid a panel back to reveal a complete wet bar. She mixed John his drink and brought it back to him. "Here you are. I have to go check on the meal. I'm pulling triple duty, I'm not only the butler, but I'm also the bartender and chef tonight. Michael should be down in a couple of minutes."
Michael walked in a few minutes later. "John I see you've made yourself at home. I'm sorry I wasn't able to greet you myself at the door but hopefully Jennifer has told you I was running late as usual. I'm hardly ever on time for my guests."
"That's okay, Jennifer was kind enough to start me off with a drink and I've been enjoying the room and fireplace, very cozy."
