"That's fine David, I'll be ready."
"Come and walk your man to the door."
At the door, he encircled me in his arms. I looked up into his green eyes as he pressed his lips to mine. Sliding his tongue between my lips, I let him pull my tongue into his mouth. As the kiss intensified, all I could remember were the kisses that Drake and I shared. All I could see were Drake's hazel eyes staring into mine. Shocked by my thoughts, I abruptly ended the kiss.
"What's wrong baby?" he asked.
"I guess I'm just overly tired. I'll see you tomorrow," I said telling the partial truth as I opened the door and pushed him out. After closing the door behind him, I leaned against it and took a deep breath.
What was I going to do? I cared for both men, in totally different ways. Drake was a love of my past that I never got over, whereas David was my "right-now" love and, given time, maybe my forever love. I never thought I would or could be in love with two men. I would always look at others who said they were and thought it was impossible. Until the shoe is on the other foot, it's best not to judge, I thought looking at the clock. It was a little after 8:00 PM. I walked into my bedroom and punched Drake's number on my cell. I had to end all contact with him after that call. I had to be strong and end it before someone was hurt.
Drake answered right away, as if anticipating my call. "Hey baby! I'm glad you kept your word and called me back. I would really like to see you again. I'll come to you if I have too."
"Drake, I really don't think that will be a good idea. I've had time to come to my senses. What we did was wrong and selfish of me. I am in love with David and I can't or won't hurt him no more than I already have. If he ever finds out what we did, it could be devastating."
"Alyssa, how can you say you love this David character? The passion we feel for each other couldn't be duplicated with anyone else."
"Stop it, Drake! Was the sex out of this world? Yes, it was amazing. But, a relationship can't be based on just how great the sex is alone. There has to be more there."
"Lyssa, are you telling me you don't feel any love for me? If you can tell me that you don't feel one ounce of love for me, I will leave you alone forever."
