We don't know who Fat Daddy is. He first came to the attention of the CIA a few months ago when our Intelligence caught our database being hacked. All we could do was trace it back to someone with the screen name Fat Daddy."
"They couldn't find who opened the screen name account?"
"No, he had some kind of firewall in place that we could not penetrate."
"I find that hard to believe that the CIA computer nerds didn't know who he was."
"I know, but it's true, they were at a loss. Since we couldn't find him through cyber space, then a spy would have to infiltrate the game. It was made very clear that Pope was dead and unavailable so a new player was picked."
"So then you, Stryker got added?"
"Yeah that's right. Again, the agency knew you and I had a past and so it made sense for me to go in."
"But you're not like the rest of us, you're not an ex or disgraced member of law enforcement?"
"Let's just say the agency made me look a little…let's just say, a little dirty to oblige Fat Daddy and to bring me into the competition."
"So you're the ringer," she said with a grin.
"Yeah, you could say that."
"So what about me, how do I fit in this, in Vegas were you coming to my hotel room to visit an old friend…..or was it nothing more than a set up?"
"No Aurora, I wanted to see you. I haven't seen you since you left the agency two years ago."
"But then you killed that kid, that singer…..you shot him…..he was dead!" Aurora cried rethinking the events back at The Golden Key.
"He was collateral damage, I'm afraid to say. I knew you were about to take the shot and didn't want that to be on your head. For you it would have been murder, for me it's just another day in the life of a government hit man. Besides, who's going to miss the little shit head any way."
"Well that is true…..he was a little shit anyway," she said smiling a little. "But Stryker, I kill people all the time, it's my line of work."
"Maybe so, but Jason Bear was a high profile hit, one that you could not walk away from so easily. I could not let that happen to you Aurora."
"So you killed him for me…..to protect me?"
"Yes…..yes I did…..I did it all for you so now put you gun away will you damn it."
"Like hell, make me," she said drawing the sight back on her intended target.
