Kill Fest - Page 114/133

Like a demon from Hell itself, he burst through the threshold like something out of a nightmare. For the first time in her life, Aurora felt true fear as she tried to draw her weapon upon him. As he opened fire, Aurora saw that the power of his gun was even a little too much for him to handle as he had great difficulty maintaining control of its kickback. Despite his lack of domination over his weapon, he ripped open the room in a procession of carnage. The very bed she lay behind, torn to bits as shards of sheet matter blew about the room like confetti. All she could do was lay as flat as she could and pray he didn't lower his aim. Within the manic chaos, she lost track of her companion who she thought was in the bathroom. She couldn't even tell if Stryker was returning fire as the sound from The Reaper's muzzle filled the room with a blaring concession of noise, surrendering only to the silence when his clip drew empty.

It was at this point and only then could the young assassin return fire upon the enemy. As she drained her magazine dry, her attack backed off the adversary long enough to reload a new clip and return fire once again. She took note that she was alone in her assault as Stryker was no longer displaying his assail.

"Stryker…..Stryker!" she called to him before the figure in black tried to re-enter the room again. She saw him hold his gun with all his might ready to end her and her friend when a commotion from outside the room came to ear. She didn't know who it was but it forced The Reaper out of the room giving her time to rush the doorway to the bathroom.

"Shit Matt, I thought your ass was dead," she cried as she found him sitting in the shower with gun in hand. "Why the hell didn't you return fire on his ass?"

"I'm out of ammo and my backup magazines are in my bag in the closet."

"Come on, we got to get the hell out of here," she cried pulling him to his feet by his arm.

"Where is he…..why did he stop shooting?" Stryker asked as he made a move for the bathroom door. Peeking out, he saw nothing in the room but what was left after The Reaper's strike.

"I don't know, he just stop firing at me and took off."

"Sounds like he ran out of ammo. If he did, he wouldn't take us both on without any firepower."
