Kill Fest - Page 49/133

Jimmy made his move on her and after some small talk about very little, the two were heading for his room upstairs until another woman attracted his eye from just down the hall. She not as tall as the dancer but standing a mere 5 foot 6 with jet black hair and appearing more of that of the rock goddess type in his eye. Seeing a dirty possibility for a three-way, Jimmy tried to engage the young woman who was slipping her room key card into its open slot. As the couple made their approach, the girl turned her head and revealed her pretty facial features. Jimmy stopped in his tracks and took hold of her girl he was with by the back of her waist preventing her from taking her next step. With a nod and wink, the card shark gave a big smile to the raven haired beauty as their eyes met and he disclosed that fact that he just recognized her.

"Aurora Constantine," he said tipping his hat to her and blazing his truly white straight teeth and a forced smile.

"Mother Fucker… Jimmy Vegas!"

"Yes…. the one and only."

"Yeah thank fucking god there is only one! I guess I shouldn't be shocked to run into your ass here," Aurora said as she pulled the key card from its slot.

"Yes indeed….and I don't really care if you are here, the game belongs to Jimmy Vegas," he said returning his white fedora to his head after referring to himself in the first person.

Feeling much like the third wheel, the other woman in her 9 inch platform heels who stood nearly a foot over the smaller brunette and a few inches over her male companion, was starting to feel impatient. Her shoes were not made to stand on for long and the hallway delay did not help. "Hey, you two know each other…or something?" the girl asked in a condescending tone that brought Jimmy's attention back to her.

"In sort of a way…..don't we, my dear Aurora," he said switching his gaze back to the dark haired female before him. "You could say we are in the same line of business," he added as Aurora just rolled her eyes and said nothing.

"So then, she's a card player too?" the fake blonde said as she eyed Aurora up and down with shameless thoughts of her own.

"Yeah hardly," Aurora said with a slight giggle followed by another round of rolling her eyes.

"Well no, we are in another line of work," Jimmy said with a slight snicker in his voice almost wishing to reveal the true nature of their occupation.
