Kill Fest - Page 58/133

Aurora knew as well as her deadly associates, that they needed to flee the lobby and head for safer ground yet she couldn't help but work her way over to where Bear lay. His men stood over him, not knowing what they could do for him. People were still running and screaming about as Aurora stopped and stood over the pop stars fallen body. His eyes rolled deep into the back of his head in a glass like gaze. A fist sized hollowed cavity where the left side of his skull once was proved that no one in the room could have fired that sort of caliber without being seen. No, the shot had to come from elsewhere she thought and scanned for the point of opportunity.

Looking up, she saw a small hole in one of the upper windows, round in diameter, suggesting he was taken out by a sniper. One of their own members of Kill Fest pulled off the score without even having to be in the hotel. Before things got more out of hand, Aurora fed the lobby and left the hotel. On her way out, she glanced back at the same window where the bullet passed through. There was nothing around for the sniper to set up on. The nearest building was a good 5000 yards away and it would have taken one hell of a shooter to hit the target from there.

To have made that shot, who among the game players could have pulled off such a stunt. "Oh Mother Fucker!" she cried out as it dawned on her who it was that took that amazing shot as a smile graced across her face. "I should have known it was you." she added walking from the entrance of the new hotel just as she could see the flashing lights of the Las Vegas PD coming down the block. There was only one other member of the game who was a trained sniper, and a man who could have not only made that shot but could have taken one twice as far as that. Matt Stryker was the hit man who did the shot she figured out. No one else, not even she, was that good of a long range sniper than Stryker.

"Well now, this shit is about to get really good." Aurora said to herself as she made her exit from the area before cops started asking questions.
