Kill Fest - Page 91/133

"What, are you talking to me?"

"Yes, please stand aside and show me some ID please."

"Oh yeah, sure I can." Stryker answered as his eyes were drawn to Aurora, who had a look in her eyes as though she were about to go for her weapon. With a slight shake of his head in a no fashion, he tried to tell her to stand down as the CIA agent stepped from the line and approached the Homeland Security enforcer.

"Here you go," Stryker said handing the man both his driver's and his CIA documentation. Both girls glimpsed each other as the man looked over their companions documents.

"CIA I see," the well-armed man stated.

"Yes," Stryker replied as his ID's were handed back to him.

"Are you on a spy mission?" the man asked with a smile.

"Sorry, I would have to kill you for that information." Stryker asked matching the man's smile.

"Move on, enjoy your day," the man said waving on Stryker who rejoined his travel companions and made it beyond the impasse.

"Why did he pull you out?" Aurora asked.

"I don't know, keep moving!" Stryker said pushing her by the small of her back past the armed men and out of the range of their view." "Come on up those stairs, follow me," the government agent said as they neared the steps. Then Aurora saw something and yanked him back by his arm.

"Wait stop!"

"What?" he called out as he followed her pointing finger.

"That's Crow over there," she said holding Stryker by the shoulder. "I know him from the Vegas hotel where you took out Bear," she added lowering her hand as the three came to a dead stop.

Tom Crow was standing near the stairwell that they needed to ascend. He seemed alone as they stood and watched him. Aurora took note that he seemed to be in some sort of pain. She figured he was hurt while engaging with one of the other Kill Fest players. Turning his head, the ragged man spotted the trio. "Nice, now we're teaming up are we?" he said in a condescending tone.

"This is no place to fight," Stryker said hoping the older man would agree.

"You may be right on that," Crow said with a half grin hidden greatly under his unkempt gray beard.

"Let's get the hell out of here safe, if we need to…..resume the game outside," Stryker added walking toward the subway stairwell.

"Ah…..somebody better tell that walking mountain coming our way carrying the shotgun," Jodi cried out as they all turned in the direction she was referring to. There only 30 yards off was Ivan: The Big Russian ambling their way, gun in full view. Before they could react, he opened fire with a thundering blast that echoed off the walls in an ear numbing assault. The buckshot missed their marks but the sound of the blast left everyone with a ringing in the ears although it didn't seemed to impair the host attacker, not for an instant for he just came forth like a monster out of a nightmare.
