Thinking that he wasn't serious, Alannah smiled impishly. "And if I were to say yes?"
"Then I would say that I would have to put you over my knee and give you a spanking. Just as I do with my daughters when they don't listen to me," he replied, in such a way that left Alannah in no doubt that he was indeed serious.
"I will take your leave now. Thank you Señor Patrick for showing me this." she said, backing away from him and retreating rather quickly towards the Chateau.
The caretaker watched her go for a short time, laughing softly to himself before going back to his chores.
