It reflected a spontaneous and sincere encouragement that was struggling with the middle-aged and experienced realization of how infatuation can too often come to a bad end, with multiple side effects. Having already made up her mind, she decided to spare Kathy the responsibility of advising her on this apparently festive but ultimately important matter. "You know what?
