Conviction (Club Destiny 1) - Page 132/132

“Or what?” She asked as she sucked his earlobe into her mouth, her breath warm on his ear.

“Or I’ll give you something to put in that mouth.” Logan whispered, and he felt her answering shiver.

“Would it help if you knew I wasn’t wearing anything beneath this dress?” She asked, her seductive tone shooting straight to his groin, eliciting a growl from deep in his chest.

With the number of couples dancing around them, the music filling the ballroom, Logan was pretty sure no one could hear them, but he was still surprised by her forwardness. “Are you trying to tempt me?”

Logan leaned back so he could look in her eyes; the bright green sparkled in the lights, her smile just as bright.

Despite all of the ups and downs they’d been through over the months, Sam needing time to come to terms with what she wanted, Logan was still surprised at how much she had come out of her shell.

No more was the demure, innocent woman he had come to know. She was a wildcat, a force to be reckoned with, and he loved that about her.

He knew Luke’s absence bothered her, and not just because he fulfilled a need she hadn’t realized she possessed. Still, she was open about her sexuality, and after she made the transition to CISS, he’d seen a side of her that he’d been missing.

She had been holding back on him, though she wouldn’t admit it. The woman who had stolen his heart was so much more than he ever expected and since the day she had married him, Logan had seen a side of her that he hadn’t known existed.

She was temptation personified, a woman who completed him like no other. She was his soul mate, the one and only woman who would ever own him unconditionally.

“I’m always trying to tempt you.” She whispered. “I think you should find us that secluded area, Mr. McCoy.”

“Be careful what you wish for, Mrs. McCoy.” He warned her, holding her tightly against him.

Taking her hand in his, Logan disregarded everyone else in the room and made a beeline for the exit. Pulling her close beside him, he leaned down to whisper in her ear, “You remember your safe word, baby?”
