Chapter 490: Crushing Reef!!

That force out of nowhere struck with such tremendous might, it was simply uncontrollable. Bang! A thunderous muffle resounded, stars scattered in all directions as Commander Bath’s eye darkened. A fishy taste surged up his throat, as a slash sent his entire body flying 7-8 matres away while blood splattered in all directions. As he sailed through the air, he crashed into eight other pirates/marines engaged in chaotic battling; bluntly knocking them rolling like gourds. The strength of that unknown blade was simply unimaginable!
When Commander Bath crashed onto the deck, he lifted his head in shock before noticing a youthful male marching slowly towards him; with an incredibly exquisite, dark-blue long saber in his hand. This was a mediocre looking male atop a ship, yet he emanated a suppression of a winding mountain range!
Sighing, that male fixated his gaze over.
"I am truly apologetic, Commander sir. That brat, Philip, is presently the equivalent of my left wing and right arm. Therefore, I cannot permit you to continue influencing him. Thus.....your opponent shall be me!"
Bath could be considered to have served the navy for close to 30 years, seeing before all sorts of towering waves and turbulent storms. Yet when he focused on this male, he suddenly felt that his surroundings had turned peaceful. The chaotic upheaval of clamorous slaughtering had been utterly screened outside his eardrums.
He could sense the winds streaking strongly and swiftly across his skin, causing his hairs on the back of his hand to stand. He could smell the intensified fishy stench of reeking blood in the air, and the magnanimous waves slapping against the steady and firm hull of his ship!!
The vast ocean, the expanse of lingering dark clouds, a bloodbath in close quarters; yet unbeknownst why, Old Bath suddenly recalled the verdant grassfields, those monochrome dairy cows, and an oatmeal fragrance of his hometown! He gently straightened his body, and wiped off the trickling blood from his lips. Then, he issued with an unyielding tone.
"Who, are, you?"
Sheyan dully replied.
"I am that demon you heard of from Philip."
Old Bath snarled furiously, as his slender cutlass radiated brilliantly; thrusting towards Sheyan’s chest. Relying on muscle memory, he was already prepared to swiftly switch to any contingency execution. Instead, he hadn’t anticipate his cutlass to bluntly stab into the opponent’s body.
Yet, this indomitable rival adorned a countenance of utter disregard. On the contrary, he had seized this opening, and delivered a chopping ‘vroom’ with his saber!! Old Bath had previously battled laboriously against other the pirates for prolonged periods; reaching the limits of fatigue long ago. RIght now, his situation could be described as an error, a plate of loss. Watching the unavoidable descending, his heart turned icy cold. But at this moment, the distant Philip who was observing released a frantic exclamation.
"NO!"
Sheyan revealed a demonic like smirk, as his saber abruptly twisted and smashed against the back of Commander Bath’s head. Instantaneously, that fatigue driven old Commander fell into unconsciousness on the deck. Like a dragon without a head, the british marines crumbled swiftly into defeat.
Except, these marines soon discovered the intermingled pirates were receptive of them yielding, with even their former colleagues vouching that their lives weren’t in threat. Furthermore, the pirates formerly under Captain Chevalle started grinning nastily. In this very situation, it was apparent everyone knew their individual roles.
Soon after the marines onboard had been slain or surrendered cleanly, Sheyan led his group of pirates and inevitably met face-to-face with the other group of raiding pirates – subordinates of Chevalle. Both parties gripped their weapons with ferocious crudeness, as they mutually sized each other up from 3 metres apart. Recognizing Canbi, a rather fierce and robust looking pirate immediately shouted hoarsely.
"Irn’-hammer Canbi? Didn’t someone said yer died in battle?"
Canbi couldn’t help glancing at that pirate with dreadful demeanor.
"Crew head Blood-Anchor?? That must’ve been a misunderstandin’."
Sheyan scanned the masculine built of this pirate, reckoning his appearance to be not one bit inferior to Scarface Harry. That pirate was hauling a gigantic rusty hammer soaked in blood behind him, which was probably where his nickname, Blood-Anchor, came from.
By now, someone had already informed Sheyan. Blood-Anchor was previously the vice crew head of Chavelle’s flagship. His personality was dreadfully brutal, and was banished to become the crew head of another ship after killing a comrade in his drunkenness. After having been deported, he remained extremely overbearing and tyrannical on the other ship. It was said that his authority even vastly outstripped the captain of the ship!
Following that, Blood-Anchor burst into feverish laughter.
"A weak idiot like ye, yer death don’t hold any weight. There’s nothing concernin’ your bunch here, smarty up and scram aye. Do yer need me to to hurl out some bones for ye scurvy dogs to nibble on? Simple that, you lot just need to kneel and show me how you bark!"
After he concluded his speech, the rest of the pirates broke into hysterical laughter. Sheyan had already probed out Blood-Anchor’s attributes, noticing that his strength was unexpectedly only 33 points! His physique and HP weren’t even that high, and couldn’t even compare to One-eyed Hog. Sheyan couldn’t refrain from becoming rather flabbergasted. Such a standard was capable of becoming a core backbone of Chevalle’s fleet?
Nevertheless, time was tight. Sheyan gestured as he tossed away further thoughts. All of a sudden, Reef erected his shield and charged directly towards Blood-Anchor. Naturally, Sheyan followed Reef from behind. After Reef had roared out with his AOE offensive ‘Shattering Cardiac Roar’, Sheyan complimented it with a curse-mix.
Concurrently, Brother Black had press his trigger while hiding from afar. DA! DA! DA! DA! DA! 5 consecutive burst shots whizzed in uniformly, igniting the fuse of a fiery battle.
Naturally, the blazing bullets grazed in first, deeply penetrating into Blood-Anchor’s chest; with speckles of blood rapidly spilled out. It even triggered his ‘Viperwolf’s Beard’ ability, as a German shepherd sized viperwolf bored out from the void; sinking its malicious fangs deep into Blood-Anchor’s abdomen, before forcefully ripping away.
Blood-Anchor roared in agony, as he raised both shoulders. One could hear the ear-piercing clanking of iron chains, as he monstrously manipulated his gigantic blood anchor. The anchor soared forth, smashing towards Sheyan and Reef!
The sweeping anchor emitted a sonorous buzzing sensation, as though a mountain peak was collapsing down.
Nevertheless, Reef maintained full confidence as he welcomed the blow with his shield. Although he had adopted Sheyan’s intentions and didn’t ascend as a Growth-hunter yet, his physique had long reached the 49 points boundary. In this present world of relatively low difficulty, this blow would clearly not be a huge issue.
Instead, at the instance Reef and that gigantic anchor collided, a thunderous gong resounded with an impact capable of causing one’s spectacles to drop. Sheyan’s crew of pirates sucked in a mouthful of chilling air, as their morale waned instantly....
Reef who had all along been esteemed as the core of their crew, had been smashed flying while vomiting blood. Moreover, it was the kind of pathetic blow out with both his legs leaving the ground, like in field hockey. Like a rogue artillery shell, Reef crashed into the nearby cabin; his collision resulting in an unceasing stream of snapping and crashing echoes. Evidently, the might of that blow was simply unstoppable, causing the flying Reef to wreck against countless objects.
As for that viperwolf spirit summoned by Mogensha, it had coincidentally fell into attacking scope of the gigantic blood anchor. Having endured damages from several pirates as well, it was smashed into a fleshy mire!
Sheyan’s pupils contracted in that instant. He suddenly realized that Reef’s HP had completely plunged by a third. "This guy’s attack, is actually this frightening???" Closely following, Reef roared with flustered and exasperation into the party channel.
"Damned, there must be something wrong. Isn’t this merely a B- difficulty world? That scoundrel actually dealt crushing damages and an explosive strike to me!!
Obviously, this blow had costed Reef a great deal of face. Before a group of ‘worshippers’, his most formidable and proudest bearing had been blown apart by the enemy. To him, that was indeed an extraordinarily infuriating matter.
Instead, Brother Black mocked sadistically.
"Everything has an exception eh. I alone can destroy that brat. Big brother Reef, take a rest at the corner alright."
Meanwhile, Sheyan spoke with composure.
"Although his strength indicates 30 plus points, I reckon this brute probably possess an outstandingly potent enchanted storyline equipment! That is the only explanation for this. Though his offensive might is daunting, his flaw is exceedingly clear – his slow movement speed and sluggish attack frequency. His accuracy isn’t high either, and his defence miraculously low. If the three of us were to deal with him, but other pirates swarming up would be a problem....but now, hmph hmph, they wouldn’t count as a huge problem. AK, don’t be in a hurry to attack him, let me see if that brute can deal crushing damages to me."
At this moment, Blood-Anchor was once again coiling up his clanking blood anchor, while laughing wildly.
"A maggot has sunk to the underworld. Next be yer turn, idiots with the audacity to offend me dignity!"
"Is that so?" All of a sudden, Sheyan drew his ‘+7 West’ saber and speared forward. Blood-Anchor roared fanatically as his mountain like gigantic anchor swung forth, carrying a sky full of sediments and dust as it walloped towards Sheyan horizontally. It was like a monstrous pickup truck colliding forth. Though its speed remained lacking, it carried an irresistible impetuous!
Sheyan positioned one feet forward and one behind, as he lowered his center of gravity. Then, he directly blocked the front with the back of his ‘+7 West’ saber!
"Keng!" At the split second where the pirates were drawing in breath, a crispy blunt sound emerged; one could only see countless regiments of oceanic-blue glitters sprinkling down as though something was smashed to pieces! Instead, contrary to their imagination, Sheyan wasn’t sent flying but merely stumbled 5-6 metres backwards. Two profound lines of indentation could now be seen on the deck beneath his feet!
