Chapter 637: Cryptic Tome of Tailoring

Lu Li joined in on the discussion and realized that they might have to get wiped a couple of times before perfecting their strategy. However, they were heading in the right direction, so he decided not to interfere and went on to find March Rain.

He gave the Golden Gown recipe to March Rain and she was pleasantly surprised.

As a Tailor, discovering a new recipe to craft was like an alcoholic discovering a fine wine. The gown was for healers as well, which meant that she could craft it for herself to wear. Not only would she receive a new equip, but her Tailor experience would also increase.

She was in need of a Lv35 equipment upgrade and it had come at the perfect timing.

"By the way, I've finished crafting two of your equips and I'm still waiting for materials for the other two pieces," March Rain remembered then asked, "Do you want them now?"

"Not at the moment; just send it to me when you guys finish the instance dungeon."

Lu Li thought about his current plans and getting stronger wasn't on the top of his priority list. Since he was able to Stealth into the Ogre base camp and pull off such a difficult feat, his ego was at an all-time high.

"Ok then. One of them came out fine and the other was superior," March Rain sighed.

Fine, superior, exquisite and perfect – this was the grading system for the quality of a crafted equip. A perfect Gold grade equip was extremely rare in the game.

"Oh, superior grade is awesome. At least they didn't all come out fine."

Lu Li was easily satisfied and didn't expect anything more. His expectation for others were much lower compared to himself because they didn't have the overpowered Forging Hammer. Speaking of which, Lu Li remembered that he was trying to obtain the Cryptic Tome of Tailoring for March Rain.

Although the Cryptic Tome of Tailoring wasn't as overpowered as his Hammer, it was still much better than the default Tailoring Book that she had received from the quest.

Without telling March Rain, Lu Li teleported to Exodar, the capital city of Azuremyst Isle.

This was his first time in Exodar, which was located at the Westernmost part of Azuremyst Isle. In reality, 'located' wasn't the right word as the Draenei capital city was actually a space aircraft.

The Blood Elves sabotaged the engine of the airship, causing it to crash head first into the mountains of Azuremyst Isle in the world of Azeroth. The remains of the spaceship and large crystals lay scattered around the area. For Draenei players, their beginning quests consisted of rescuing the survivors of the crash, eliminating the harmful side effects from the radiation and fighting against undercover Blood Elves spies.

The city was very remote and the design wasn't favored by other players, so not many people gathered here. However, this was the main city for new Draenei players and it was unavoidable for them to pass through.

"We welcome the dark-skinned Elf," the guard said as they bowed in respect to welcome the arrival of Lu Li.

Not every player received the same type of formal respect from the NPCs. You either required high-enough popularity in Azuremyst Isle, or numerous titles like Lu Li.

In reality, not many players cared about your titles, but they were extremely important to the NPCs. As a commander of the team that had achieved the First Clear in numerous dungeons, the soldiers greeted Lu Li out of respect and admiration. If he wanted to, he could even ask these NPCs to protect him like bodyguards if enemy players were to hunt for him.

Lu Li entered Exodar and walked towards a little hut without asking for directions.

The Draenei were experts in architecture and their buildings made Lu Li gasp in amazement. The buildings were unique and Lu Li couldn't help but admire the designer for creating such an amazing city.

As he entered the little hut, he saw that the walls were filled with sewing materials, clothes and some leather armour.

A young female Draenei sat on the ground, sewing amongst all the materials scattered around her. She was so focused that she didn't hear his footsteps as he was coming in.

Her concentrated expression made her extremely attractive. The female Draenei models were unlike the male models – they were much more slender, petite and had pronounced facial structures, making them very attractive and charming.

"Elize, how are you?" Lu Li interrupted her politely.

There was a player in Lu Li's past life that thought being ignored was some form of a test. As such, they would wait patiently for hours and hours for the Sewing Master to finish her work and attend to them.

The poor guy waited from midday until night time when the game forced him to go offline and never managed to speak to Master Elize.

Knowing this, Lu Li decided not to wait for her like an idiot and interrupted her even though it might have been quite rude. However, female Draenei tended to be a lot more forgiving and understanding compared to women of different races.

"Elf…"

The female Draenei started at Lu Li blankly; her eyes were filled with slight fear, but she also had an endearing expression on her face.

"I'm a natural Elf from the forests, different from the ones that were corrupted by magic."

Not many other races visited Exodar, so she was quite unfamiliar in distinguishing the difference.

The slandering of Blood Elves was to gain her trust.

Draenei hated the Blood Elves because of their past history and their heart sought to take revenge one day.

"Yes, you're the kind that worshipped the Moon," Elize sighed in relief and patted herself on the chest to calm herself.

Lu Li tried his best to be respectable and say the right things to trigger the quest.

"My lady, the caretaker of Naaru, I was wondering if I could ask for a small favour from you?"

Lu Li knew that his approach was the only way possible to trigger the quest line as an adult male character. If he was a little girl like Hachi Chan, then all he would have to do was to cry until Elize held him in her arms and gave out all her quests in order to comfort him.

"If it's within my powers," Elize said unsurely.

"This is my equipment, but it's been damaged. Are you able to restore it?" Lu Li asked as he brought out an item from his inventory.

This was a Silver grade cape that he had bought from the exchange hall. The design and stats were both decent, but the durability was near 0.

"It's been damaged too much. If I were to repair it normally, then I'm afraid it might lose some stats. However, if I have a special material, I might be able to restore it, but at a much higher cost," Elize said, then pointed at the cape on his back and continued, "That cape you're currently wearing is much better; there's no point in repairing this one.

A Master Tailor could easily tell how good the stats of an equip was with their naked eyes.

All Lu Li wanted to do was to trigger the quest – why was she making this so difficult for him? Lu Li almost wanted to cry in frustration and lied, "This piece of equipment belongs to a very dear friend of mine and I want to restore it as a keepsake.
