Chapter 785: Unholy Weapon

"Unlucky," Azure Sea Breeze said as he took a glance down the hole and stepped back cautiously.

"How unfortunate," everyone else agreed.

Since the two Boss were close to death, losing a DPS player did not change the outcome of the fight and the party successfully defeated them.

After a short while, they heard Mu Fish's voice from outside the walls.

"Hey brothers, someone come out and help lead me back in – I'm lost. There are so many forked roads and I can't see anything because it's so dark. I feel like I'm about to go crazy."

The Temple of Hakkar was a complicated and confusing Instance Dungeon. Any casual player who didn't know what they were doing would easily get lost in there.

They had only managed to navigate their way through the dungeon with ease because of Lu Li, who had completed it a couple of times in his past life. After conducting a bit of research, he basically knew the dungeon inside out.

Because of Lu Li's leadership, Mu Fish did not bother memorizing the path that they took. Now that he was all alone, he quickly realized how impossible this task was.

There was nothing that Lu Li could do but to go back and fetch him.

The others did not bother waiting for him and instead began searching the corpses. Without Lu Li's bad luck around, perhaps they would be able to find some good drops.

"Dream, what's wrong with you? What is this!?"

Everyone was stunned at the loot dropped by the Physical Dragon, not because it was a good item, but because it was trash. They did not expect much from such an easy Boss, but they were certain that it would at least drop a Silver equip.

What kind of a Boss dropped a Lv40 Copper Grade equip?!

"It's not my fault; I tried my hardest," Remnant Dream protested.

Lu Li sprinted back to fetch Mu Fish. In reality, he knew that besides three particular Bosses in the Temple of Hakkar, all of the others dropped nothing but trash, which was why he had left without even bothering to check.

When Lu Li led Mu Fish back to where the others were, Remnant Dream had finished looting the Magic Dragon.

"We got nothing, only a recipe."

Remnant Dream was beginning to doubt her abilities; she had never been so unlucky before.

"What recipe?" Lu Li paused and asked quickly.

"Unholy Weapon," Remnant Dream answered.

"Ok, good stuff."

Kitty Likes Meat had offered 180 gold for the previous equip before which was quite reasonable.

The Unholy Weapon recipe sold for at least 600 gold in the market. If the rich players had a bidding war, the prices would be even higher. The highest price that Lu Li had heard of in his past life was 1,200 gold. This was an absurd amount of gold – enough to buy a small house.

The Unholy Weapon recipe permanently enchanted a weapon to often inflict a curse on the target, dealing shadow damage and reducing their physical Defense by 10%

Nobody bothered to learn Engineering because the costs were higher and the materials were rarer.

Comparatively, many players learned Enchantment to increase the stats on their weapons. Even though there weren't too many Enchantment recipes currently on the market, it was still a very popular profession.

The Unholy Weapon recipe did not increase the stats, but the Curse special effect made it extremely valuable.

Warlocks preferred to use weapons that had curses on them because they were great for countering Thieves.

The material cost for this recipe was extremely high.

Even after a week of farming, you would barely be able to earn enough money to afford the materials.

The real value of this recipe came from its animation when the effect is activated. Once the Curse was applied, the weapon would emit an eerie-green glow and two skulls would circle around it.

"We're rich! Sell this for no less than 800 gold," Lu Li said in satisfaction.

Divided among ten players, that would be 80 gold each, which was equivalent to about 6,000 dollars. This was more than a month's pay for most people.

Although Lu Li would often make transactions that exceeded 500 gold, most players would rarely have more than 10 gold on themselves at a time.

"Wow, so expensive."

Everyone was stunned by its price, so Lu Li explained why it was so expensive.

"I want it. I'll give you 80 gold each for it," Azure Sea Breeze said as he pounced onto Remnant Dream and begged her for the recipe.

"You don't even know how to enchant…" Lu Li was speechless.

Everyone was good friends with Azure Sea Breeze and if he wanted something, then usually no one would object. "I'll learn it as soon as we get back. Lu Li, you're right. We should have dreams and goals – otherwise, we would just be lazy couch potatoes," Azure Sea Breeze laughed.

"Fine, I'll sell it to you," Lu Li agreed, then paused and added, "We'll charge you 600 gold. Give us 60 gold each when we return."

He would have given it to him for free, but it was a recipe that everyone had found together.

If Lu Li said he didn't want his share of gold, the others would probably be too ashamed to accept their shares as well. Since it was still quite a decent amount of money, Lu Li decided to charge his good friend regardless.

In reality, Azure Sea Breeze was quite well-off himself. As the number one Main Tank in the game, he had made earned a fortune by following Lu Li around.

Additionally, whenever someone found a ticket to a private dungeon, they would reach out to him for help. The unwanted equips that he found in these dungeons runs could be disenchanted into materials and used to level up his Enchanting profession.

Once he learned the recipe, he would enchant his weapon first.

When the other players saw the animations on his weapon, they would become curious and ask how he had obtained the effect. Then, he could gather up the materials and offer to enchant their weapons for 10 gold. After a short while, he would be able to make his money back.

Because the game was still quite new, paying 10 gold for such a rare animation would be a bargain.

Azure Sea Breeze could almost see himself becoming a rich CEO, marrying a beautiful wife and finally reaching the peak of his life. He happily put the recipe away in his bag and almost forgot that he still had to pay everyone back.
