Painting of the Nine Immortals - Page 622/627

After a shrilling scream that pierced through the cloud.

The person used the fastest speed possible to find a set of clothes and put it onto his body. Then, he stared angrily at Ling Xian, his beautiful face was flushing red.

He looked just like a beautiful woman.

But no matter where you looked at, the crotch or the throat, it was enough to prove that he was a man.

This shocked Ling Xian greatly. He didn’t think he would encounter such a strange man after just stepping in here.

“You bastard! Who allowed you to come in!” the person stared at Ling Xian with range. His black diamond sized eyes were starting to get watery. Those eyes and the delicate face put even women to shame.

“I…”

Ling Xian was stumped for words. He really shouldn’t have barged in here without knocking. But since the person before him was also a man, what was the big deal?

Therefore, he smiled apologetically, “it is nothing. We are both men. So I saw everything…”

“So you saw everything?”

The man clenched his teeth. After thinking about how Ling Xian had seen all of his white body, his beautiful face became puffy with redness, “What do you mean you’ve seen everything? Aren’t you going to apologize?”

“We are both men, what is there to be embarrassed about?” Ling Xian frowned, feeling like this person was acting very strange.

He began to manipulate his Qi and scanned this looking manly but at the same a woman person. He didn’t find anything unusual. Other than the fact that it was a man with a very elegant and alluring body, nothing about him indicated that he was a woman.

However, he still felt like the person before him was acting very strange.

“Perhaps if I use my original self’s Qi to inspect him, I can find something unusual. This clone’s Qi is far too weak. I cannot see everything.”

Ling Xian murmured to himself and suppressed his suspicion, “Alright, we are both men and there is nothing to be embarrassed about. It’s not like you are a woman or anything.”

“You!”

The person paused. However, as if he remembered something, he stopped pestering.

After checking out the person before him clearly, he couldn’t help but gasp, “Interesting. You have Royal Leveled talent and you fought off thousands of beasts solo. Yet you chose the Path of Crafts.”

“So you were also in that small world.” Ling Xian faintly grinned, “What is your name?”

“Xiang Ru Gu.”

After throwing down these three cold words, the person glared at Ling Xian and returned to his own bed.

“A strange name, a strange person.” Ling Xian chuckled and no longer paid attention to this person. He looked around the room instead.

This room was very large in size. Other than tables, chairs, and some necessary home items, there were only two beds. It was obvious that this room was meant to be lived in by two people.

The other person was obviously the strange person, Xiang Ru Gu. In other words, they were roommates.

After realizing that he would be living together with such a strange person under the same room, Ling Xian felt his head hurt. However, remembering why he was here meant he had to endure.

After all, he had to acquire that great fortune!

“Alright, it seems like I will be living here for a while. I better clean up.” Ling Xian muttered to himself, came before his bed, and organized his belongings.

Then, he lied down on his bed, and the book, General Outline of Craftsmanship, appeared in his brain.

The reason why he chose the Path of Crafts was mostly because of the Immortal of Crafts’ inheritance. Though he was also considered to be multi-talented, it was better for him to seize it since there was an opportunity for him to improve.

Therefore, he closed his eyes and decided to study the Immortal of Crafts’ inheritance.

In his brain, ancient characters, one after another, appeared and flickered with bright light. The logic and truth about craftsmanship were amongst the characters.

Without a doubt, this was a great treasure. Especially in the eyes of a craftsman, it was invaluable!

The inheritance contained the life learnings of the Immortal of Crafts. Not only were there instructions on how to make certain crafts, but there were also many techniques. It was a treasure that any craftsman would long after!

Therefore, Ling Xian studied it meticulously as if he was drunk from knowledge.

Though he had never concerned himself with crafts and couldn’t really understand the deepness about the words he was reading – his enlightenment skill was something even the immortals couldn’t stop praising about. He naturally began to understand after a while.

Especially after he consumed a Petal of Enlightenment, his brain began to work in firing speed and his enlightenment sped up.

This inheritance was far too profound and far too mysterious. Even for somebody with high enlightenment like him would not be able to chew through all the knowledge in a short period of time.

However, Ling Xian never intended to fully understand craftsmanship. If he could learn 20 to 30 percent of the total knowledge, it would be enough for him to use for the rest of his life.

After all, this was the entire life long learnings of the Pioneer of Crafts. For him to understand 20 to 30 percent of it was enough to ensure his success in the path of crafts.

Therefore, Ling Xian was very concentrated and was studying very seriously.

Time passed just like that.

He shut his ears off about what was going on outside of his zone and began to drown himself in the sea of knowledge of the Immortal of Crafts’ inheritance. He had forgotten all about time.

After he jolted awoke from his enlightenment zone, it was the morning of the next day.

“Phew, I sure gained a lot of knowledge last night.”

After a long breath, Ling Xian’s face was flooding with happiness. He thought last night was so worth it and valuable.

Though the Immortal of Crafts’ inheritance was extremely difficult to comprehend and so hard that normal people wouldn’t be able to understand even a bit of it, who was he?

His enlightenment skill was something all the immortals praised about!

Therefore, no matter how difficult this inheritance proved to be, he still gained some things from last night, about one-thousandth of the total knowledge.

Perhaps this statistic sounds very low, and perhaps even sounds pitiful. Perhaps the outsiders, upon hearing this, would call him a piece of trash. But don’t forget, this was the inheritance from the Pioneer of Crafts!

How profound and intricate was this inheritance?

Nobody knows. But one thing is for sure; no craftsmen can achieve the feat of understanding one-thousandth of it in one night!

Yet Ling Xian had done it! How powerful of enlightenment did he have? How unbelievable was this?

If we put his achievement another way, it would shock everyone even more. Because he today could already make ninth realm crafts.

Yes, after merely one night, he transformed into a Ninth Realm Craftsman!

One should know that many cultivators train their entire lives to try and become a Ninth Realm Craftsman. Yet Ling Xian merely needed the time of one night. This was utterly unbelievable!

Of course, most of this was because of the Immortal of Crafts’ inheritance. This inheritance was far too dominating. Despite this, his own abilities shouldn’t be overlooked. Without such powerful enlightenment skill, he wouldn’t have transformed into a Ninth Realm Craftsman after merely one night.

Luckily, nobody else knew of this achievement other than him. Or else if the news passed around, the cultivators who had been training their entire lives to become a craftsman would skin him alive!

“I guess now I can start making ninth realm crafts. Why don’t I try?” Ling Xian whispered to himself and decided to apply his new skill.

However, just as he was about to take out of materials from his storage pouch, he saw Xiang Ru Gu heading towards the door.

Subconsciously, he asked, “Where are you going?”

“Don’t you know we have classes today?”

Xiang Ru Gu didn’t look back and continued to walk. However, his strides were very small, similar to a woman’s.

However, Ling Xian didn’t notice this detail. He just suddenly remembered Su Chang Feng’s words and couldn’t help but to smile bitterly, “I sure forgot all about this. Now that I am considered a pupil of crafts, I need to attend classes on time.”

Then, he left his bed and high anticipation flashed across his eyes.

“Interesting. I have never attended classes before. I wonder what classes the craftsmen have to offer.”
