Chapter 468 - Tai Chi Force Field

Zhong Yue was silent, he didn’t say a word and just cast out the Kui Long Divine Drum toward the incoming Peng Qianqiu.

“Come at me!” Peng Qianqiu sneered. His raging energy blasted out and formed a huge hand that disdainfully grabbed onto the divine drum as he said, “You dare to cast that in front of me again? Seems like the last lesson didn’t teach you much!”

In the next second, the hand shattered into pieces from the drum’s soundwaves. Blood trickled out of Peng Qianqiu’s mouth, and he thought in shock, What…?

Seeing the Kui Long Divine Drum still coming at him, Peng Qianqiu quickly pushed his hands out and struck the drum head. The sound from his hand landing on the drum caused Peng Qianqiu spurted out a mouth of blood that splattered onto the drum!

Meanwhile, Zhong Yue, who was standing behind the drum struck it as well. The drum thrummed, and Peng Qianqiu’s eyes flared out in fear, he couldn’t believe just how strong Zhong Yue’s arcane energy was now!

But the merciless time wouldn’t slow down for anyone. Peng Qianqiu hastily braced himself and was uncontrollably pushed back for over a hundred feet. At the end of it, he vomited out another mouthful of blood!

Now, he finally knew why Peng Jinyi kept shouting ‘No’ at him. Peng Jinyi was asking for help not because he wanted to finish off Zhong Yue, but because he needed to be saved!

How is he so stro-...

Before he could finish his thought, Zhong Yue’s struck the drum once again, and immediately, the sounds of bones crunching from Peng Qianqiu’s hands.

Suddenly, Peng Jinyi rushed over and struck the drum head.

A loud sound blasted out from within the Kui Long Divine Drum, and the two forces cancelled each other out.

Instantly, Zhong Yue gathered all of his strength into one arm and hit drum again. Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu both muffled deep groans in pain and were sent flying back hundreds of feet before finally managing to regain their balance.

The two brothers looked at Zhong Yue with utter shock while vomiting out blood.

The Kui Long Divine Drum then flew up and returned to Zhong Yue’s secret realms.

How strange, why is Peng Qianqiu so weak as well? Zhong Yue thought in bewilderment.

Chi Xue was also in shock, although Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu weren’t the young god cultivators, they were still powerful True Spirit magantes. But Zhong Yue was still able to just defeat them like some little children.

Even Qi Lianfeng was shocked; the magnate raised his brow and thought, He mustn’t be allowed to grow any stronger!

A suffocating sense of danger overcome him, and he suddenly remembered the words Zhong Yue said to him the last time they met. He was instantly filled with killing intent, He needs to be taken out! If he continues on growing at this rate, he will one day be able to kill me, even in a fair and just fight!

Just as Zhong Yue clashed with Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu, the Qi Practitioners following behind them caught up as well. They all dashed forward and launched their attacks at Zhong Yue and Chi Xue!

Chi Xue let out a shrill whistle, and she rushed toward Chi Qing, Qi Lianfeng, and the others. while Zhong Yue continued fighting Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu. The two Kun Peng magnates joined hands together to fight back but only ended up being injured further!

Suddenly, Qi Lianfeng seized a chance and dashed out of Chi Xue’s attack range. He reached Zhong Yue’s back and waved his golden stick down right at Zhong Yue’s head!

No one was able to stop him from delivering the killing blow at Zhong Yue as Chi Xue was still entangled with Chi Qing and Fu Tixiang. It seemed that he had already planned this even before the battle started, swearing to kill Zhong Yue at any cost!

This young man had proven to be too great a threat for him to neglect. The first time they encountered one another was in the Heaven River, and at that point in time, the repulsive force of his protective skill alone was able to considerably injure Zhong Yue.

But now, it hadn’t even been a month’s time, and Zhong Yue had already grown to the point of threatening his safety. If he was given more time, perhaps not even he would be able to put up a fight against Zhong Yue!

Furthermore, Zhong Yue has struck him toward the warship during the encounter in the Heaven River, that one strike alone has cost him five hundred years of time, making him weaker than before.

Although he spent the past few weeks searching for the divine herbs, there wasn’t anything he could do to recover his lost time. Thus, left with no choice, Qi Lianfeng agreed to act as Chi Qing’s follower so that he could get himself a Peach of Immortality to recoup his loss.

Hence, his hatred for Zhong Yue was unlike any other!

“DIE!”

Qi Lianfeng shouted, veins burst on the surface of his skin as his enlarged, growing into a 10,000 foot tall giant. The golden stick became 10,000 feet long as well, and there were the godly totem patterns curling around the golden stick’s surface!

This was an ultimate killing blow!

Qi Lianfeng was confident in the outcome of the strike, he had no no doubt that this was the strongest attack he had launched in his life. The golden stick’s power was fully utilized and his arcane energy fully surged out, this was a strike even a young god True Spirit magnate like him would shudder under!

The godly aura pierced through the firmament, the golden stick was unbreakable and even the air was densely compressed!

“Senior Qi, do you remember what I said to you?”

Suddenly, Zhong Yue said while he was still fighting Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu. An inner core flew out from him and hovered in mid-air. It shone brightly, and all of a sudden, Qi Lianfeng found himself in an unknown place.

On his left was total darkness, and on his right was a blinding light. In the dark, there was a blazing sun, with half of it swallowed by the darkness. While in the light, there was a moon that was half covered in darkness as well.

The sun and moon slowly circled around him. The sun burned with the Pure Yang Qi sunfire while the moon shone with Pure Yin Qi and emanated the frigid air of Tai Yin Water.

The darkness signified Zhong Yue’s demonic cultivation base while the light represented his celestial cultivation base.

“This is… the inner core force field? Hmph, do you really think you can trap me with just an inner core? Die!”

Qi Lianfeng was shocked by the sudden changes and immediately recollected himself. He thrust the golden stick down into the ground, and as a loud noise ravaged the surroundings, the sun and moon was partially crushed away!

“Child, just how naive are you!” But before he could sink any deeper in his gloating, his face drastically changed as the broken sun and moon regained their flawless state in just the blink of an eye. Zhong Yue’s inner core force field was still not broken yet.

Meanwhile, Qi Lianfeng could feel his cultivation base getting suppressed by the force field and his arcane energy reserves dwindling.

Suddenly, blood essence started seeping out from his pores, and the arcane energy faltered from his body. They all billowed out toward Zhong Yue’s inner core force field.

Qi Lianfeng was terrified, and he noticed the figures of gods emerging out of the inner core force field. They hovered in mid-air, looking at him while being devoid of emotion. Their bodies were huge and solemn, and they seemed to carry themselves with an imperious air that made Qi Lianfeng appear puny.

Abruptly, the gods then bowed at him and said in unison, “【Worshipping of Gods】!”

Qi Lianfeng’s blood essence and arcane energy became agitated like boiling water. They flowed out of his body, and his cultivation base cascaded down. Qi Lianfeng was wholly engulfed in his fear, and he shouted out loud while whirling his golden stick like a madman.

The golden stick struck off the godly images off. Qi Lianfeng then thrust the golden stick into the sun and crushed it while continuing to swing the stick in a wide arc, severing the moon into halves along the middle.

Krong——

A crack emerged on Zhong Yue’s inner core and Qi Lianfeng seized the chance, lunging forward and leaping out of Zhong Yue’s inner core force field. Just as he was going to heave a breath of relief, he saw countless of godly specters converging around Zhong Yue seemingly in worship.

【Worshipping of Gods】!

The moment Qi Lianfeng rushed out from the inner core force field was the exact moment his head appeared in front of Zhong Yue. Zhong Yue then bowed, and their heads clashed together while Qi Lianfeng shouted in fear of death as he found a hole in his skull, exposing his brain underneath.

He was in the form of the 10,000 foot tall giant while Zhong Yue, who was at his usual size, appeared to be only as small as a one of his finger nails. Yet, when the two clashed, Zhong Yue slipped through his defenses and opened a hole on his skull.

Qi Lianfeng was roaring as he struggled to get his other body parts out of Zhong Yue’s inner core force field. This was the most critical time for him, if he got the rest of his body out of the inner core force field, he would be able to strike back and possibly kill Zhong Yue!

After all, Zhong Yue’s inner core had suffered damage, leaving him especially vulnerable to attack. If Qi Lianfeng was determined to kill Zhong Yue at all costs, Zhong Yue would most probably be not able to fight him back!

But Zhong Yue bowed again, and the chants of worship coming from the gods suddenly grew louder, and his blood essence was raised a few times. With another strike of the【Worshipping of Gods】, Zhong Yue was able to strike into Qi Lianfeng’s brain.

Qi Lianfeng stopped, and his movements stalled while his eyes dimmed. Qi Lianfeng’s brain vaporized in that strike. His body faltered as his soul dispersed into thin air. However, his outer appearance still looked no different to when he was alive.

“Senior Qi, I said that I’ll kill you the next time we meet,” Zhong Yue recalled his inner core and Qi Lianfeng’s huge mortal body appeared before him. Zhong Yue raised a finger and poked the corpse, the giant then fell to the ground, shakingthe earth.

“See, I wasn’t joking, was I? After all, I’m a man of my word.” Blood then trickled out of Zhong Yue’s mouth; Qi Lianfeng had wounded his inner core. Nonetheless, his inner core still performed far better than he expected.

Shame, I’ve only finished the seventh revolution, my Tai Chi Force Field is still incomplete. If only I finished the nine revolutions and perfected my inner core force field, Qi Lianfeng wouldn’t have been able to escape from the force field anymore.

From Qi Lianfeng’s stealthy killing blow to Zhong Yue sucking him into the inner core force field which finally culminated in his death death, everything happened in just a breath of time.

Meanwhile, Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu both continued to incessantly attack, trying to divert his attention away. But no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn’t break through the defensive line of the translucent bell around him. Every strike they launched created a crack on the【Shao Hao Bell】, but it just wouldn’t break.

“Qi Lianfeng is dead?”

Peng Qianqiu and Peng Jinyi were in fear, and their scalps tingled, while their hair bristled up as well. In just such a short while, a strong cultivator like Qi Lianfeng was already killed, and with this alone, they could really just tell how strong Zhong Yue was!

“The experts’ battles can oftentimes be decided from the smaller details....” Outside of the battlefield, Qi Practitioners rushed over and stood around the place. Kua Fuding, Shang Qing, the Black Tortoise experts, Fu Tixiang, Yu Hui, Que Yan’er, and also Su Domi were among them!

The young demon Su Domi looked at Zhong Yue and said softly, “Life and death can be decided in just the blink of an eye. That celestial magnate was acting on delusion otherwise, he wouldn’t have been killed so easily.”

Su Wuji was glaring his eyes at Zhong Yue, and as soon as he heard those words, he beseeched, “Mister, what delusion?”

“He thought that he was smart to launch a stealthy killing blow, but little did he know that his opponent was waiting for it,” Su Domi said placidly, “This is his delusion. And the cost that came with it was his life.”
