Rise of Humanity - Page 610/619

From infinite space came the bright light of teleportation, and shrouded in the light was a huge palace. The bright light eventually faded and the speed of the teleportation slowed down.

In front of the palace stood a young man with white hair and three eyes. He looked around from behind of the light.

Right behind his head were six light wheels where an old tree could be vaguely seen rooting in the light wheels and beside the tree was a huge carrot.

Then, two very beautiful young ladies stood behind his young man; one appeared to be very gentle and delicate while another looked very confident and perseverant.

And somewhere nearby, a middle age god stood beside a pillar; he looked very powerful, strong and firm; his gaze felt like lighting but whenever he looked at the young man with white hair, his eyes couldn’t help but betray the dread he felt.

On the other side was another young man dressed in white clothing who was looking around curiously.

These people were Zhong Yue and his companions.

It had been more than a month since they teleported out of the Solar Galaxy.

Since the teleportation light traveled through the dimension, no one knew how far they had traveled during this period of time.

Meanwhile, it had been two years since they left the Ancestral Star, and in this period of time, Zhong Yue kept drilling on the【Pan Gu Six Paths】, studied the Six Paths through Old Man Six Paths and his understanding on Six Paths grew stronger each day, but he had yet to cultivate his soul into the Innate True Soul.

However, he too improved drastically; he managed to forge the Solar Divine Saber and Metamagnet Divine Saber to the a point where they were on the verge of becoming Extreme Weapons.

And when he reached the Imminent Deity level, it would not take him long before he reached the peak state of this level to forge the extreme soul weapon.

The teleportation light’s speed decreased gradually, and what appeared in front of them were about ten dark red suns; those were dying suns, suns whose light were about to extinguish forever.

These suns formed an array that connected them together through their flame; blazing fire could be seen erupting from the suns, connecting with each other’s flame and they discovered that the flame were all made from totem carvings.

Zhong Yue was shaken as he discovered that the flame was actually a spell formed by countless fire dragons that intertwined around each other!

These spells chained the gigantic suns together and their energy to sustain themselves. This slowly drained away the energy from the suns, causing them to slowly extinguish.

“【Skill of Leize】!”

Xin Huo shouted, “【Skill of Leize】s!”

“【Skill of Leize】s?”

Zhong Yue was shocked at the fact that the chains connecting the suns were made of Leize Celestial Dragons; no one knew who exactly did this and why.

“【Skill of Leize】 is something created in the era of the Sui Sovereign. The Sui Sovereign was the son of the Leize Clan, and the 【Skill of Leize】 was created when he visualized his father — the first Innate Leize Celestial Dragon.”

Xin Huo sounded both excited and sad at the same time, and he said again, “The first Sui Sovereign brought me to life and tasked me to pass down his heritage. After walking through the entire Fire Order Era, I came to the Earth Order Era and passed this heritage to the Fuxi Celestial Race. This is the array created by the Fuxi Celestial Race, but it seems to be imperfect. This must have been created by a member of the Fuxi Celestial Race that had yet to perfectly master the 【Skill of Leize】 when I was still in my slumber….”

“The array formation of the Fuxi Celestial Race?”

The teleportation light brought them all the way into the centre of the chains that chained the suns. At the centre were countless stars that were crushed into pieces, and when Zhong Yue and the others were brought to the centre, they passed by countless pieces of these shattered stars.

Shua—

They landed on a seemingly ancient continent on centre of the huge array; as the energy of the teleportation faded, the teleportation totem carvings emerged under their feet and spreaded around slowly before they disappeared again.

These totem carvings were dimensional totem carvings; when the teleportation light touched the ground, these totem carvings were imprinted onto the ground, but as soon as the energy got depleted, they disappeared too.

“What is this place?”

Bai Canghai looked around and he murmured, “Have we gotten to the Zi Wei Imperial Star?”

Here, he saw about ten suns hung high in the skies, with the suns emitting such a strong heat that it scorched the ground.

Moreover, there were even more terrifying elements around. Volcanoes erupted everywhere, the earth trembled, windstorms rampaged about, and burning water currents swept across the land.

But what was still the most terrifying were the remnants of the skills that lingered!

This place was obviously an ancient battlefield; the destructive power that surged across this world resulted in a burst of kaleidoscopic light pillars, crushing everything in their paths.

Shi Buyi shivered and he asked, “What kind of power is this to be able to create such destruction!”

The repercussion of the spells and skills signified that a horrendous battle had once taken place here. and those who were involved were warriors with power beyond imagination!

Shi Buyi once witnessed the battle between the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor and the Xuan Yuan Sword of Nong Sovereign that unleashed destruction he had never seen before. But when compared to whatever he was witnessing right now, that battle was nothing!

The smell of death invaded their nostrils; it was impossible that there could still be life on this planet.

“We are probably still in the first Six Path World, it’s not possible that we managed to get to the Zi Wei Imperial Star in such a short time.”

Zhong Yue looked around the ruined planet, and where they stood now was the only peaceful place that was protected by some kind of unknown power.

Where they were now was a place no smaller than the Great Wilderness. And thanks to that unknown power, this place was exempt from being the destructive force that rampaged outside its confines.

“We have to look for the next portal, Feng Wuji must have taken this path as well.”

Zhong Yue said again, “This path he took must be a ancient galaxy path. There should be another portal here. Shi Buyi, track his scent and lead the way.”

Shi Buyi nodded and started sniffing around and he suddenly said, “Feng Wuji was here!”

He tracked the scent of Feng Wuji while Jun Sixie, Qiu Jin’er and Bai Canghai looked around trying to obtain more information.

Zhong Yue, however, was currently distracted by the realization that this place was very compatible with his Fuxi bloodline, making it very suitable for him to cultivate here.

He looked up into the skies in an attempt to learn as much as he could from the 【Skill of Leize】 that chained the suns together, but due to the extreme distance, he failed to gain any insights.

On the other hand, Xin Huo was an expert in 【Skill of Leize】 as it was him that passed the art down to the descendents of Fu Xi Celestial Race. But since Zhong Yue was not the chosen one, he was not taught it.

“Perhaps the Fuxi Celestial Race set all these up to fight off some strong enemies?” Zhong Yue murmured.

“We found it!” Shi Buyi exclaimed and Zhong Yue recollected his thoughts before he rushed towards Shi Buyi.

And this was when Qiu Jin’er suddenly called him and said, “Senior martial brother, there’s a temple here!”

“A temple?”

Immediately, Zhong Yue rushed towards Qiu Jin’er’s side. He soon saw a ruined temple that stood firmly on the strange battlefield.

The temple was in poor condition, but the radiance of a holy and solemn aura still emanated from the temple, creating a sanctuary from the cruelty of war.

And it was because of this temple that this area of land was protected from the war.

In the temple was a stone table with words that were illuminated with a soft light. There were only ten words on it.

“Memorial Tablet to My Brothers and Sisters Resting Eternally in the Sixth Battlefield.”

Zhong Yue read the tablet and said, “The Sixth Battlefield? This is the Sixth Battlefield, but what kind of a battle is this?”

There was also some words on the back of the tables, but these words were written by someone else.

“The rebels of Fuxi Celestial Race traveled across the universe, through 3000 Six Paths World and the our elites of these worlds failed to stop them even after engaging in six battles. We suffered heavy losses, and finally, we managed to annihilate the Fuxi rebels in the seventh battle. During our return, we came across this tablet. And out of respect for their courage, we did not want to destroy it, thus, the tablet was left behind as a memorial.”

Zhong Yue hesitated for a moment before he entered the temple and he saw countless spirit tablets erected all over the temple.

The spirit seat of Feng Yan from the Fuxi Celestial Race.

The spirit seat of Tong Zheng from the Fuxi Celestial Race.

The spirit seat of Qi Quexi from the Fuxi Celestial Race.

The spirit seat of Dong Chengshu from the Fuxi Celestial Race.

The spirit seat of Yi Yunlian from the Fuxi Celestial Race.

Zhong Yue’s gaze passed by these spirit tablets one by one, and he realized that the majority of these spirit tablets belonged to unnamed individuals. Those Fuxi that died in sixth battle were mostly nameless; these unnamed warriors came from every corner from the different worlds, but they all came forth all with one goal: to put up a final fight for the sake of Fuxi Celestial Race. Many of them did not have the time to leave their names behind. Some had their bodies completely destroyed in the battle or some were mutilated to the point that their body were beyond recognizable.

Zhong Yue remained silent as he bowed to these spirit tables. He seemed to have heard weeping from the spirit tablets. He slowly dozed off when he stared at these spirit tablets, but he vaguely saw spirits of those fallen Fuxi Celestial Race’s warriors standing behind these tablets, each looked tall and mighty.

He thought he saw the people that survived from the battle and they all knelt before these spirit tablets.

And there was an old voice that shouted, “May our people find peace in the afterlife——”

Zhong Yue turned around, exited the temple and nodded to his companions, “Let’s go.”

His expression was dignified, as if there was no emotion in his heart.

With the portal activated, they continued their journey. After months, they arrived at another battlefield; this battlefield was also a battle the Fuxi Celestial Race ran into when they were traveling to the Ancestral Star.

This was the Fifth battlefield.

Unlike the Sixth Battlefield, the Fifth Battlefield was a huge sun whose flames had extinguished long ago. Now, this sun looked just like a dark and gloomy ball that hung high in the dark skies. The remnants of the arts that were cast here long ago in the battle were the only source of light that illuminated the bleak landscape.

Zhong Yue found the memorial tablet in the Fifth Battlefield, and he entered the temple to pay his respects to the warriors of Fuxi whose spirits were all destroyed in the battle.

Soon, they arrived at the Forth Battlefield after a month’s time.
