The children knew that Allie was telling them the truth and was risking her own life helping them so all they could do was pray for them and Allie told them if another child or young adult would find them not to pray and give themselves away, to make it looked as though they were either orphaned and had nowhere else to go or they didn't like their parents bossing them and ran away. When there wasn't any fruit in the boxes at the store she would take a few of her mother's canned fruit to the cave. So far her parents didn't know Every day more and more of the elderly and their things was disappearing from the crowded alley ways and Allie had told the children not to pray at all or even talk about God but she and they knew this is what God wanted them to do is to take care of the elderly and that was their unspoken mission and reminded them that Matthew 6:3 meant that very thing
