He was upset with her not staying away and then she replied I've just been observing her from the other side of the rails but I know what is wrong and we have to help her now. The family went to the race horse Scarlet Fever's stall and sure enough there was two legs then a third leg. Jeffery knew that Jackie was right. He called another vet and got him on his way and then the third leg went back in and the other vet that had stayed on the phone with Jeff was on his way told Jeff okay if the pony is trying to be born the wrong way there isn't much you can do If the mother horse is expecting twins then the legs that stayed out is the pony that was going to be born first but you need to pull the pony out. Jeff and the two oldest boys pulled the pony out and Julie started cleaning the pony up It was a beautiful chestnut with a white.neck and forehead. Scarlet Fever had a easier time delivering her second pony and could clean the little pony off. He was smaller than the first pony. Evey one praised Julie for saving the mother and the two ponies
The other vet was just leaving when Jill came home and she praised Julie also. They called the owner and he said that he would come the next day. The next day when he came he had been on the phone with the horse's trainer wanting to know how this had happened. He had his own veterinarian.. The vet checked over Scarlet Fever first and said she was fine then he checked out the two ponies and told him that somebody had let her breed with a quarter horse and that was going to ruin her racing history. He asked if any one had filled out any birth documents yet and the anser was no. He decided to move Scarlet Fever that day and left the two outclassed ponies.
