When it was daylight and the house sounded very empty Kim snucked out ot the house and left. She thought to herself thank God her car had broke down and she borrowed one from the used car dealership .that was owned by her best friend's boyfriend. She drove to the police department and requested to talk to dective Scott who she had known since she was a child and was the father of one of the boys who she attended school with.
She showed him the photo of the body and explained what had happened and even though she was asked by Mr. Astor to check on the house she also was told no working after sunset.and what she saw and didn't know what to do. She also told detective Scott that she thought one of the people in the yard was Mr. Astor himself. Detective Scott told her he would keep her name out of it as much as could.
He called Mr. Astor and reported a homeless person reported strange loud music and hid in the attic and found a body so he needed to be able to get into the manor and checked this story out. Mr. Astor informed him that they didn't go out of town and was at the manor and would be more than glad to let him check this out. Kim went to the manor Mr. Astor summoned Kim to the manor and questioned her about being at the manor and she said that she did work on the manor but left around four p.m.
