Kim accompanied by Mrs. Emery went to the library and took a seat with the eldery ladies reading group Mrs.Monrose read a story about a young man who gave his life for a friend. When Mrs. Monrose was done Mrs. Emery introduced herself and complimented her on how compassionate she was while reading her story and added that it sounded as though she had lost someone close to her and was told about Carrie when hearing that Mrs. Monrose invited them to the coffee shop just a few doors down from the library to talk more.
After ordering coffee and coffee cake for all three Mrs. Monrose talked extensionally about the murder of all three of her children even though the government overseas had concluded that one of her sons was an accident. Deep down inside of her she knew it was murder. Kim had been told by somebody but she couldn't remember who had said they died while in active duty. Maybe she would be able to when she got back home and read her notes. She was certain that they were on the right track but which one of the three men was it and his motive was still undiscovered
Kim found out the Mrs. Monrose husband had past away fairly recent. She volunteered to accompany her to his gravesite when she told them she hadn't been there due to it being very painful for her. The next day all three went to his grave site with flowers and Mrs. Monrose had time to say her final goodbye to him. Meanwhile Mac's mind kept on asking why the FBI would lie like they did to him and the same answer kept coming back they are covering up for the man. Before they left Ansterdam they accompanied Mrs. Monrose back to see the elderly Mr. Monrose and he told all three he remembered one young protege named Jake who had been trained by him back in the sixties and had one assignment and then quit He couldn't remember why though and wondered where he was and if he was still alive.
