Meanwhile in Baton Rouge there was a full fledge gangland war brewing with the Moretti and the Salvatone families fighting for who was going to do business with the drug lords down in Mexico. The godfather of the Moretti family Joesph wasn't liking the drugs and wanted to go ahead and let the Salvatone family have the drugs and he would stay with the gambling side but his son Anthony was greedy and thought his father's way of doing business was bad for the family and decided to take over the family business and made it look like the Salatone family had his old man killed in a gangland execution
Abby thought if Jim and I hadn't lost our little boy he would have been about the same age as Donavan and would have loved to have a playmate. She knew that Donavan was lonely for someone to be able to play with so she volunteered to let a couple of the rangers children to come and play but Harry didn't think that was a great ideal with the things going on down in Baton Roudge. He wasn't sure if Anthony Moretti knew what Donavan looked like and if the Salvatone family ever knew Donavan would be on their hit list. Abby sighed and said I wish all the Salatone and the Morettis at least Anthony would disappear off the face of this earth. Then she confided in Harry I don't mean the children. Harry understood exactly what she meant.
