The Police Comissioner asked their sergant why they were going over old files that had been closed. Their sergant thought with his office being audited that at least they would be working and not sitting around twiddling their thumbs. At least the few files on each of their desk gave the impression that they were on the job. The comissioner agreeded. Their sargent was told to observed them only.
The next file was an older woman who had just walked away from her home one day. That case was closed when a woman claimed she had given her a ride to a different nearby county where the old lady said her son was living and she was going to visit him.She left her off at the town's city limit sign just a few houses from her son's home.
The missing person;s unit contacted the old lady's son and he said that she never made it to his place. She didn't know what to beleive and they had no juridistion in the county he lived in..
