The Spider's Fly - Page 14/49

As the winter holiday season quickly passed, it was time for Lindsey and the rest of her Kindergarten class to get back to school again. Lindsey was not looking forward to having to deal with her abusive teacher again. As Lindsey arrived back to school, the first few days were nice. Since Lindsey’s teacher was too busy preparing the lessons that needed to be completed before Easter vacation, she didn’t have time to pick on the students. For the next couple of weeks Lindsey and the rest of the class learned their ABCs and letter recognition. By Valentines Day, all of the kids were able to write their own names. Each student made lovely Valentines day cards for their parents. Lindsey was proud of all that she accomplished. Lindsey’s mother was very proud of Lindsey and how far she had come since that horrible first day of school. Lindsey’s siblings were also doing quite well, and Lindsey’s father was also very proud of everyone. With Easter vacation fast approaching, Lindsey’s teacher was preparing for the next season already. Mrs. Shockley handed out surprise assessment tests to the entire class. She had to make sure that everyone was on task and ready for the last quarter. Lindsey’s teacher completed grading the papers and much to her surprise everyone was doing quite well. Since everyone was doing so well Mrs. Shockley decided to kill a little time. Instead of showing her students how proud she was of them, she decided to use the extra time to force everyone to do their morning exercises. The only problem was, they were already tired because they had already done their morning exercises, and the day was almost over. Everyone was forced to march in a circle and touch their knees to their chin. As tired as Lindsey was, she still managed to complete the exercises and march perfectly. But apparently it wasn’t good enough for Mrs. Shockley because she pinched her on her chin and told her that her knees weren’t high enough. Once again Lindsey was forced to endure her teacher’s abuse.
