The Spider's Fly - Page 15/49

It was a beautiful sunny Easter morning. Lindsey and her siblings were all excited about hunting Easter eggs. Lindsey and her sister were also excited about wearing their new dresses. Lindsey and her sister were always natural beauties, but for Easter they looked even more lovely. Lindsey’s mother curled her and her sisters hair and they looked very nice. But for Lindsey’s brother, it was hopeless. Though he was a very handsome young man, it was sometimes difficult to tell. underneath all of that dirt, ratty hair and filthy clothes, he was a very good looking boy. Lindsey and her siblings headed out the door and began hunting for the Easter eggs that they had colored the night before. After locating all of the eggs, they returned in doors to hunt for their Easter baskets. Each basket was no different from the others, as Lindsey’s parents were always fair. Unfortunately no matter how fair her parents were, Lindsey’s brother always wanted more. Nothing was ever enough for him, he always wanted more. Despite Lindsey's brother’s spoiled rotten attitude, Easter Sunday turned out to be just as perfect as every other year. Dinner was delicious and there was something for everyone. Ham, Turkey, and all the fixings. After dinner there was enough left overs to last a week or more. As delicious as it was, by the time a week had past, everyone was tired of holiday foods and ready to get back to eating normal meals. Easter vacation week seemed to be over just about as soon as it started. Lindsey and her sister had to prepare for school the next day. Lindsey really didn’t want to go back. But as much as Lindsey hated school, Her older sister Laura, hated it even more. While Lindsey’s attendance was almost perfect as much as she hated it, her sister Laura’s attendance was absolutely terrible. Laura missed so many days that the school had her parents on a written warning. Lindsey’s younger brother Mike Jr. wasn’t in school yet, and her older brother, who lived with their grandmother loved his school, and had perfect attendance there.
