“Ah, my own little mall,” she sighed delighted.

The remote lay on an ottoman. Picking it up, she entered a combination. Rows of shoes started to rotate according to season.

“Mmm, shall I wear the red polka dot high-heels or a pair of flat sandals?” she asked herself, scratching her head.

A pair of black, strappy high-heeled sandals caught her attention. Walking over, she pressed the stop button and bent over. Who would have thought these would come in handy? she thought on closer inspection.

Placing the shoes on the bottom shelf of a specially designed clothing organizer, she continued. Entering another combination of numbers, doors opened behind her. Turning, she paged through dresses and came across a black-strapless one. Giving it a critical once over.

“Perfect.”

Hanging the dress with its belt above the shoes. She turned to her underwear drawer. A black lace set joined the items of clothing. Last, but not least, she chose accessories with care. A scarf for her hair, a black pearl necklace with matching earrings and a pair of sunglasses.

Satisfied, she exchanged the bath sheet for her pyjamas, bathrobe, and cow slippers. On her way out, she hung the wet towel over the heated towel rack in the bathroom before heading out.

In the hallway, white marble tiles reflected the morning light. Strolling leisurely towards the stairs, her mind preoccupied by what lay ahead as she descended.
