“What’s up?” Diane answered on the fourth ring.
“Bring the car,” she ordered and dropped the call.
“That was pretty short?” His voice stroked her back.
Glancing back. “Less is more.”
He frowned. “How will she know where to meet us?”
A smile played on her lips. “My, but you are a worry wart.”
Walking a little faster, he took hold of her upper arm, pulling her up short. “Your safety is my concern.”
The wind picked up. His masculine scent drifted in her direction, tickling her nose. Her body tensed, heat pooled between her legs. Blinking rapidly to clear the effect, it had on her body.
“Sorry, I forget my own strength.” His hand dropped back down and he put some distance between them.
“D-don’t stress about it.” She rubbed her arm. “We should hurry. Diane will be waiting.” Babbling, she hurried along the path.
In the distance, a silver Mini Cooper Coupe sat in the driveway. Roof down, engine purring like a satisfied cat.
Miguel eyed the petite brunette leaning against the car. “Who is she?”
