Escape World Peace - Page 3/21

Sitting down to rest, on one of the many stones that were scattered along the pathway, I could hear the leaves rustling in the breeze, the trees swayed back and forth, and the sun was peeking through the white, pillow-like clouds. The day was a mesmerizing, tranquil day. Very peaceful, if it wasn’t for the noise the people were making.

Suddenly, without warning, the sky got dark. The sun and clouds couldn’t be seen anymore. Gazing upward, fully expecting to see storm clouds, I was shocked to see a flock of large birds flying overhead. Too many to count.

Standing abruptly to my feet, I squinted to try to get a better look at these birds. They were black and red, with beady little eyes, a rather long, crooked beak, and a wing span of at least ten feet long. They resembled a vulture, yet, I hadn’t ever seen a bird quite like these. With precision timing, they flew in unison, weaving up and down and side to side in the air current. It was an amazing site.

Zeroing in on their destination, these flying marvels began circling overhead, where the multitude of people were. Round and round they went. Faster and faster, as if a large, black tornado was about to descend on the party.
