She had distanced herself so much from him recently, telling him that they needed time apart. She wanted to end it and since he was leaving for Florida she could sort out her feelings but what was really going on with her, he thought bitterly, as he drove over to the side of Fifth Ave. He parked and watched as she made her way across the one-way avenue, entering Ferretti's. With her gone into the studio, he took his cell phone, looked at the last time she called or texted him, narrowed his eyes in anger and then he made a call.

"It's Thomas. Do me a favor - it’s Aliziana Ferretti - she goes by Ali. No, I won't be here. I'm gone for a couple of weeks so get back to me." Thomas sat in his car in deep thought as he brushed back his wet hair with both hands and feeling satisfied that he had done the right thing, he drove off.
