“Kayley, it’s been the morning from hell,” Aliziana complained, squinting her eyes away from the bright lights over the endless jewelry displays. She closed her umbrella and walked carefully towards the back of the store with her feet sliding inside her wet shoes.

“I feel like crap...let me tell you the rest later,” she promised as Kayley remained open-mouthed looking at her wet clothes. “I’m going to my office before I go home again...who’s in today?” Aliziana asked with apprehension of being short-staffed.

“Rafael and Claire are upstairs. No one else is in except Jenna and she went for a coffee run - here, let me hang your umbrella,” the conscientious clerk offered, quickly removing it from her boss’ hand, “oh and by the way, Leedgard Security confirmed your appointment for two o’clock,” she smiled proudly, for taking the initiative to make the call on her own without a reminder.

And what happened to you?” Claire asked as she looked her boss over, as she walked to her desk and picked up messages in a pile. “Those are all for you from Thomas - he called four times and wouldn’t leave you any voice messages, there are two calls from the contractor in Toronto and your sister wants to know why you didn’t text her back - she said she texted you three times...oh and what did I miss - yes, the photo shoot,” Claire summarized as she looked curiously again at Aliziana’s soaked state, “did someone push you or did you fall?” She asked facetiously.
