“I’ll call you Brayden then...you’ve been with Leedgard for long?” She made small-talk to distract herself, then stared out the window. She observed people on the sidewalk, the occasional dog with it’s owner walking in the light sprinkling rain and the tall, unique townhomes lining the narrow street - anything to get her mind centered again.

“I’ve been with the company for some time.” He told her, “and as for today, I am confirmed for two hours, correct?” He asked, changing the subject.

She turned involuntarily to the sound of his voice and noticed the side of his neck as he spoke. It was muscular, hardy and wide like his shoulders, she stared admiringly. He looked rugged, imposing and powerful. Thomas looked lanky. Next to this man, Thomas would fade into the woodwork, she compared the two amusingly.
