She stiffened and her eyes snapped to a sharp focus. She wondered if making love to him ten times a day was one of the other experiences he referred to.

He drew her to her feet as he pushed himself to his feet. “Ever walked barefoot on a beach with a man next to you?”

“Um….no,” she stammered, she looked down to the ground embarrassed that she’d thought he was referring to sex. He’d only meant something as innocent as a stroll along the beach.

He led her to the edge of the ocean and drew her to his side. She gasped when the cold water lapped over her feet. He laughed at her reaction. She felt his fingers brush over her ankle and she curled her toes into the sand as the heat in her belly increased.

“Mind telling me what you are doing?” she asked with a loud laugh. She found it difficult to breathe as she watched him unbutton the lower part of her dress.

“Trying to hem your dress.” He looked up and reassured her with a wink.

She felt shy and covered her face. She shivered as his hands trailed against the skin he’d exposed. She waited nervously while he rolled his pants up to just below his knees. She found the dark hair that covered his muscled calves unbelievably sexy. He took her hand again and drew her along with him. He wrapped an arm loosely around her waist and started down the beach. They walked in a comfortable silence. Who would ever thought she’d be happy?
