"Well Vance honey, I must take my nap to be ready for tonight. It was nice meeting you." Vedella replied.

"Little lady, you make it sound so final. I don't disappear that fast. I will be talking to you. I do need your home number if you don't mind? Vance asked.

Vedella gave Vance her home number and hung up the phone. She lay across the bed with her clothes on and thought about Vance. She drifted off to sleep.

Later that evening everyone was ready for the theater. The hotel had the limousine waiting when they came downstairs.

At the theater the ladies was enjoying the play. Vedella had this strange feeling of being watched. She turns slowly around and looked. She couldn't believe her eyes. Vance was staring back at her with his beautiful smile. Vedella blushed and nodded her head his way. Fire was burning within her. Vedella friends watched her and laughed. They had seen her when she looked and saw Vance two rows in back of them.

After the play Vance waited in the lobby for Vedella. As soon as she came out the door he went over to her. She introduced him to her friends again. Vance pulled Vedella aside.

"Do you think I was going to leave town without seeing the lady of my dreams one more time? Vance asked.

"I was quite surprised." Vedella answered.

"I wanted to tell you in person that I wanted to see you again. I will be in touch with you." Vance stated.

"I will be glad to hear from you." Vedella answered.

Vance leaned toward Vedella and brushed her lips lightly with his. He said goodbye and left the theater.

Vedella friends came over. "What a man! Dixie exclaimed.

"I think he is delightful." Georgianna remarked.

"Come on girls, let's have a drink." Vedella replied.

The next day New York was alive with people. Jannie Marie was making her way through the crowd to go to the next store. Her friends were trying to keep up with her through the crowd.

Jannie Marie consulted with the storeowner to have her purchases sent back to the hotel.

The next stop was the historical society with Winola.

The last stop was at the auction with Vedella. She purchased several items for her company and a couple for her personally.

By the end of the day the young ladies were exhausted. They decided that it was time to go home.

They had dinner and to their rooms to pack for the flight back home in the morning.
