Custody Battle - Page 18/86

Mandisa took a deep breath and focused on what was real and that was that if Angela Motaung didn't sign the papers today then Mandisa was going to kill her. Angela was not her only client even though she was the only difficult one. Mandisa couldn't afford to waste time on her divorce. It was all done. Mr. Motaung had made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with his wife, as it was he refused to be in the same room as her. The lawyers were doing all the negotiations and liaising. Mandisa understood why Mr. Motaung didn't want to see his wife. He didn't trust himself with her. Just one soulful look from her and he would be willing to believe anything she said. Mandisa understood and she sympathized with the poor man. It wasn't easy being vulnerable and no one knew about vulnerability more that Mandisa and her sisters.

Thinking about her sisters, Mandisa couldn't help but think about Tebogo Motsepe the man who was in town to feed on Sindi's vulnerability.

She haven't met the intolerable pest of a man yet but that was on her to do list. At the moment she was trying to find out as much as she could about the man, which was not an easy task, with him living in New York.

Mandisa was in no rush. So far the man had threatened to sue for custody but he hasn't made if official yet. Mandisa suspected that he was all bark and no bite. He had just wanted to scare Sindi and he had succeeded but that was over now that she was back and the next time Tebogo Motsepe showed his face she would be there to cut him down to size.

Mandisa caught herself looking at the guy again and to her surprised he was looking at her and frowning. Mandisa was taken back and she immediately looked away. Her cheeks were burning at being caught staring. And to make matters worse, the guy didn't appear too happy about that.

She felt like covering her face with her hands but thought better off it. If the guy was still looking at her then he will know that she was embarrassed and that would embarrass her even more. The thing to do was to pretend like nothing happened. Mandisa concentrated on the file in front of her and as if on cue, Angela emerged from the bathroom looking more beautiful than she had few minutes ago. Mandisa couldn't help rolling her eyes. Angela hadn't gone to the bathroom to clear her mind but to fix herself up for the handsome stranger.
