Custody Battle - Page 80/86

“I don’t buy that. You came here ready for a fight and to go back to Durban with Joy and now you are telling me you were going to leave two days before finding out if that was going to happen or not?” Mandisa turned to Tebogo. “What the hell are you Motsepes playing at?”

“Nothing.” Rose said her voice shaking a bit. “You came here to make us an offer and we accept. That is the end of our business deal. So good bye.”

Again Rose tried to push Mandisa to the door. Mandisa dug her heels and looked at Rose.

“Want to try again Mrs. Motsepe? You are up to something.” Mandisa told her folding her arms. “It’s all over your face.”

“My mother is always up to something.” Tebogo said. “That is what keeps her alive, scheming. But in this case I can honestly say she is not up to anything.”

While Tebogo was talking Mandisa kept her eyes on Rose and the older woman’s eyes seemed to be fond of the bin where she had dropped an envelope moments ago. Trusting her instincts Mandisa went to the bin and fished the envelope out.

“What is in here Mrs. Motsepe?” Mandisa asked holding the envelope up.

“None of your business. Put it back.” Rose said rushing at her. Mandisa turned her back on her and opened the envelope and took out the documents. She read them while keeping Rose away with her back.

“What the hell?” Mandisa paged to the last page. “It is signed. What game are you people playing here? According to this, Tumi gives Sindi full custody of Joy.” She pushed Rose away and faced Tebogo.

“You cold, heartless, lying son of a cursed bitch!! How dare you!” Tebogo raised an eyebrow. “Here I was thinking your brother was a cold heartless bastard when all along it has been you.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about?” Tebogo said looking at the document in her hand and then the one the lawyer had.

“Are you telling me you know nothing about your brother signing the divorce papers and giving Sindi full custody of Joy?”

“I know about that, what I don’t know about is why you so upset. I’ll think you would be grateful.”
